Nintendo is pretty well known for making a ton of spin-off games. However, there is always room for more!
From The Legend of Zelda to Mario, there are still a ton of characters that are worth getting to know more. What if we want to play as the villains or the princess instead of the typical hero? We have been waiting too long for some of these well-known characters to get their own games. Maybe they will in the future, but until then, we can only dream and swap cool ideas of what could be.
Here are ten characters from Nintendo franchises that should get their own spin-off games.
5 Bowser From Mario
Now rumors have gone around that a Bowser spin-off game is actually very likely to be in our future. We are calling it rumors because a game has not been officially announced yet. The evidence that a spin-off Bowser game is likely is because Nintendo has already filed a trademark for Bowser.
Bowser certainly has been around long enough that he deserves his own adventure, wouldn’t you think?
4 Meta Knight From Kirby
Meta Knight is the edgiest and mysterious character to come out of the Kirby series. He is also a major source of fascination by the fandom since his motives are unknown and he has a striking likeness to Kirby.
Having his own game would be pretty cool. Who knows what type of genre or style of game it would be?
3 Team Rocket From Pokémon
Jesse, James, and Meowth are fan favorites of the Pokémon franchise have made some appearances in the games. However, what if they got their own game? Or you could be a Team Rocket Grunt that works with them for a game?
Pokémon has many spin-off games such as the Mystery Dungeon series, Pokémon XD, and more. Why not also let the players be a little bad for once?
2 Ganondorf From The Legend Of Zelda
Ganondorf, the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series, is not a character that is deeply explored. Sometimes he is more of a force of nature than a man, but other times he appears to be a person like Link and Zelda.
There is a lot that can be done with his character since he has many incarnations. Maybe there is one where he is a little more complicated?
1 Waluigi From Mario
This is the character everyone wants a spin-off game to star. Waluigi has a major following, because his character is just ridiculous. He is like a walking meme and the subject of many jokes. He was only created so that Wario could have a tennis partner is Mario Tennis, so that is hilarious. Fans call him the shadow of a shadow, since he is a reflection of Luigi, who is a reflection of Mario.
So why not give him his own story? Maybe he finally snaps and decides to try to show everyone else what he is made of by going on his own journey?
