Super Smash Bros. is a game created by using the crossover of several different Nintendo franchises. It was first released back in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and it only had twelve characters for players to use in the game. Now there are over eighty-six characters that can be played in the newest installment of the series.

Fans have fallen in love with this series as it has been released on several different Nintendo platforms. They have created some unbelievable fan art in honor of their favorite characters and the game as a whole.

10 This Art Looks Like It Could Be The Next Cover

This painting looks like it could be the cover of the next release in the game series as we see some of our favorites in their purest forms. They all look electric and alive as their eyes act as windows for their emotions.

This piece was created by Ross Tran, and his work leaves us wanting more. The combination of all of these different characters into a single piece is no small feat, but he managed to pull it off with ease.

9 They Don’t Always Have To Fight

This artist, named Battagua, depicts several characters within the game sitting together as one happy family. It was created following the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which is one of the best they have ever made.

Link is a fan favorite, as well as the other characters in this image, and we love the artistic expression used in their creation. The way each of their personalities is subtly hinted at is marvelous and it makes it one of the best pieces of fan art out there.

8 Princess Peach Is Beautiful

Princess Peach is one of the best characters in the game as her special abilities give her an edge over the competition. Lighane understands her prowess and chose to draw this colorful rendition in her honor.

The coloring was done by an expert hand and we love the combination of design with shading to bring Princess Peach to life. She is timeless and this drawing plays on this idea as she continues to evolve in both the game and art as time passes by.

7 Epic Battles Are Their Forte

The artist behind this piece, named HOwLiNG-MAd Fox Hatter, decided to create this work of art prior to the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It features the original 12 characters, which are the ones that have been playable in every game released in this series all the back to Nintendo 64.

We love how the artist chose to use a comic-like style for this piece as we see them battling a foe in animated style. It looks like something we would see sitting on the shelves at our local comic book store and we wish we knew how this story unfolded.

6 Nintendo 64 Was Where It All Began

The game was first released on Nintendo 64 and this artist used the characters from this game in their art. It serves as a tribute to where it all began and it is hard not to love the art they created. It all seems to flow in its own way and each character blends in with the next, while still holding onto their own special flair.

Our favorite part is Donkey Kong and Yoshi as they each hold fearsome looks that draw the piece together and make it one. The artist, named dnimll, did a phenomenal job creating this work of art and we hope others follow in his footsteps in the future.

5 Mayhem Describes Every Match

This artistic interpretation of the game shows exactly what happens as each match ensues. The answer is pure mayhem as everyone clashes with one another and abilities are used left and right.

The depth of this picture is amazing as the artist used the entire canvas to show each of these characters at their finest. It showcases numerous abilities and the colorful nature of the entire scene is what draws our eyes in to look at the finer details. Darwin Nuñez created this piece and we hope he makes more because his work is exceptional.

4 King K. Rool Is A Beast

King K. Rool was a fan favorite when he was finally added into the Super Smash Bros. franchise. We love the small details added into this work as the artist shaded the teeth, and added texture to the various parts of the drawing.

The redness in his eyes is what makes this pure gold as it sells his neurotic nature in an effort to defeat his opponents. PookaDoodle is the artist and we can only applaud them for their proficiency in nailing every detail of this character.

3 Old And New Collide

This is a combination of old and new characters from the series as they come together to fight it out. We love the various characters they included like Link, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Fox McCloud.

The simplistic design on a white background might seem amateur to most, but the amount of detail put into the creation of each character is truly remarkable. Blistinaorgin created this piece and we can only stare in awe at their ability to nail small details about each of the characters.

2 Loud House Style Keeps It Interesting

This artist decided to reimagine the characters in The Loud House style and included so many in the final work. It looks like the game should have its own cartoon show based on this drawing and we love the different variations of all the characters.

The number of things going on in this artwork could leave us staring at it for hours as we study each of their various expressions. Vinzound created this work and so many people have shared their appreciation for their artistic talents.

1 The Characters Can Be Soft And Sweet

Many depictions show the characters as mean and rugged animations that are ready to take on any enemy. This artist, named Evil-usagi, decided to take a different approach to the characters in the game. The art depicts them as a bunch of dolls sitting on a shelf, as one might find in a child’s room.

They look soft and adorable, but the eyes are what sells it. It is very different from what every other artist on this list created, and it makes it shine even brighter in our eyes because of these differences.
