With every new WWE 2K game, there is an adjustment to the wrestlers which is supposedly meant to represent their success or performance that year in the squared circle. However, as fans of the series know, these stats don’t always accurately represent that superstars accolades or how they are represented on TV.

The Legends for example, often get a bad deal with exception to guys like The Rock or Hulk Hogan in comparison to some of the modern stars on the roster. Or worse, there are non-performers that find their way onto the game on a yearly basis with better or even equal stats than wrestlers or are active and performing on a weekly basis which is a bit insulting. Let’s take a look at ten of the most ridiculous ratings for some of the wrestlers that have made it on to WWE 2K20.

10 Ricky Steamboat - 87

Ricky Steamboat was one of the greatest babyface (good guy) wrestlers of all time. He has had some of the most memorable matches of all-time against the likes Ric Flair, Ravishing Rick Rude, and of course “Macho Man” Randy Savage at Wrestlemania III.

Furthermore, he has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WCW US Championship, and WCW World Heavyweight Championships several times. Therefore his rating while good at 87 should be at least the same as Randy Savage at 89.

9 The Rock - 93

There’s no doubt that The Rock will always be considered one of the all-time greats he’s had incredible matches and feuds against Triple H, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, and Kurt Angle.

It makes sense to keep him looking competitive because if he ever decides to have another one-off match at Wrestlemania so that he looks like a match for any of the younger stars. However, to keep his rating higher than active stars like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns undermines their position in the company.

8 The Fiend - 86

“The Fiend” character is finally giving a talent like Bray Wyatt the spotlight he deserves in the WWE. The promotion has been hyping his new persona as an unstoppable monster in the same vein as monster movie characters like Jason from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers from Halloween.

When his character was finally playable in after the Bump in the Night DLC pack was released it was rather surprising to see his rating as low as 86. What makes the low rating so ridiculous is his character completely destroyed Finn Balor in his first match and Balor’s rating is still much higher than “The Fiend”.

7 Kurt Angle ‘01/‘06 - 86/89

Kurt Angle is highly regarded as one of the best performers to have ever stepped into a WWE ring. Even when he was rookie he was having matches as if he had already been performing for years. In addition, he is a legitimate Olympic Gold medal winner who won his medals with a broken neck.

Furthermore, Angle was one of the few wrestlers that could make the fans believe that what they were watching was the real thing. It is surprising, then to see his ratings for both versions of his character lower than the likes of Triple H, Steve Austin, and Rock when he’s beat all these Superstars in his prime. He was responsible for some of the most memorable matches of all time during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras and had flawless matches against Samoa Joe, Sting and AJ Styles in TNA.

6 Stephanie McMahon - 75

Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon and the wife of Triple H the current Executive Vice President of Talent, Creative and Live Events. As the current CBO of the WWE, she’s no doubt got a natural talent for the business side of wrestling but as a performer in the ring, she’s awful.

She has never been a full-time wrestler and isn’t active in the ring yet she is rated higher than a second-generation Superstar Tamina Snuka who is still active on the roster. In addition, she’s only a few points lower than Japanese star Kairi Sane making it seem that the two would be reasonably well-matched which is absolutely ridiculous.

5 Tommaso Ciampa - 82

Tommaso Ciampa is a former NXT champion and he is a huge favorite among fans of the WWE and a rising star in the company. In addition, he has been wrestling for nearly 15 years having incredible matches in Ring of Honor and TNA.

Despite this, Ciampa is rated ridiculously low at 82 which is just one point higher than Shane McMahon who’s not even real wrestler on the roster. The WWE should be doing everything they can to make their rising stars in the NXT division look like real contenders rather than lesser show that’s getting destroyed AEW in the television network ratings.

4 Shane McMahon - 81

There is little doubt that Shane McMahon is able to pull off daring stunts and take bug bumps in the ring when going up against the likes of The Undertaker, Kevin Owens, and Kurt Angle. However, his competence in the ring was completely down to the skill of his opponents who worked hard to make Shane look as competitive as possible.

It’s ridiculous enough that he’s only one point lower than Sheamus a former WWE Champion but McMahon should not be rated higher than any active wrestler let alone talented stars like Shelton Benjamin or most of the Cruiserweight roster.

3 Mankind - 84

Whether Mick Foley has used his Cactus Jack persona or Mankind in the WWE and WCW his matches were some of the most memorable and violent fans had ever seen. His Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker has gone down in history as one of the most brutal matches in the company’s history and the bumps he endured need to be seen to be believed.

Despite his size and shape he was incredibly agile and was able to have great matches with everyone from Triple H to Sting. He defeated The Rock in a 1999 match of the year to later team with him and win the tag team titles. Yet despite beating and feuding with some of the greatest stars in the industry like The Undertaker and Steve Austin he’s rated 9 points lower than The Rock.

2 Ted DiBiase - 85

“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase was of the greatest heels (villains) during his run in the 1980s. He has brilliant matches against “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, and The Ultimate Warrior.

He was not only one of the most technically sound wrestlers in the ring but he had the ability to elevate his less talented opponents in the ring. He’s a former WWE World Champion and one of half of the Megabucks tag team with Andre The Giant. Yet, DiBiase’s rating is just sitting at just 85 when he should be around 88-89 along with the likes of Randy Savage and the late Eddie Guerrero.

1 Mr. McMahon - 73

All of the McMahons find their way into every WW 2K entry and Vince McMahon is no different. Even when true legends like Mr. Perfect get removed Vince, Stephanie and Shane will be sure to stay. Vince’s most memorable moments were during the WWE’s Attitude Era getting carried in his feuds with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

While Vince’s rating is pretty low at 73 he’s just a few points lower and a match for the athletic Shelton Benjamin and both members of the massive tag team the Authors of Pain Rezar and Akam in singles matches. In addition, his rating is either the same or higher than many Cruiserweights which makes no sense from a rating perspective.
