The Final Fantasy series is a pretty iconic one that’s still going on. And it doesn’t look like it’s stopping soon! It’s gathered a pretty huge fanbase, and you can’t blame people for liking this series. It’s got interesting stories, a wide variety of fascinating characters, and some pretty cool visuals. And depending on the game, your characters could be fighting with swords, or pulling out the guns. There’s a great variety in these games and there’s something for everyone.
And since Final Fantasy has gotten popular, it’s gathered a lot of fan art. Fans love to draw their own versions of their favorite characters. And part of that is imagining them in different situations or changing up their roles. Some of these include doing a modern version of characters, imagining them as kids, or even switching up their genders.
One popular type of fan art is reimagining characters as parents. It’s fun to see what your favorite characters would be like with a couple of kids of their own, and you’d have to curious. What kind of parents would they be? Would they be kind? Would they be stern? What would their kids look like? Quite a few fans have asked themselves these questions, and they’ve decided answer them and do their own interpretation of these parental characters.

20 That’s One Crazy Daddy
Sephiroth is probably one of the most iconic villains in the Final Fantasy series. Even if you’re not familiar with the games, you’ve probably seen and could recognize this villain. He’s definitely got a striking appearance going on.
Considering he went completely insane and tried to destroy the world, Sephiroth may not be good father material. Though before his fall to insanity, he was a decent person, showing to value the friendships he had. So, pre-insanity Sephiroth would probably be a pretty good parent. And I like this depiction of him with his daughter. It’s a very sweet image, and it’s nice to see Sephiroth not all evil.

19 They’re An Adorable And Tired Family
Aerith is a very popular character among fans, and for a good reason. She’s independent and kind, and is always trying to cheer up her teammates. In general, she’s a pretty likable character. Which is what makes it even more heartbreaking when Sephiroth ends her.
Aerith would definitely make a great mom. She’s kind and caring, but she’d also teach her kids to be strong and to not be afraid. I like this art piece of her and Cloud since they would make a very sweet family and this moment is very cute. I could see the two just curling up together with their kids after a long day.

18 He’d Look Out For The Kids
If Sephiroth is an iconic villain in the Final Fantasy series, then Cloud is a pretty iconic hero. He’s generally he first hero I think of when I think of Final Fantasy. His personality does go through a few changes from game to game, but considering what he goes through, you can’t blame the guy.
Cloud would struggle at first but he’d be a great dad.
Cloud would be interesting as a parent. I think he’d struggle at first, but he’d get the hang of it. This art piece is interesting since it puts Cloud, Tifa, Denzel, and Marlene in a family setting. The idea of Cloud taking care of and kind of adopting a couple of kids is a sweet concept, and I could see him doing that.

17 She’d Rock As A Mom
Yuna is a pretty interesting character who does go through a lot of change in her journey. She starts out a bit naïve, closed-off, and completely duty-driven person who tends to put others’ needs before her own. And she grows into a more open and direct person who’s still compassionate and dedicated.
Yuna would probably be that mother that would give up everything for her kids. You know she’d love her kids with all her heart. And this art piece is a rather cute one. It would be cool to see Yuna have a family, and I think that’s something she would want to do.
16 He Would Be The Cool Older Brother
Squall is another one of those characters that goes through some significant changes in his journey. He is initially very cold and withdrawn, not caring about whether he makes friends as long as he does his duty. But as time goes on, he becomes more open and social.
I could see Squall being a rather protective dad. He would probably be awkward when it comes to emotions, but you know he’d be there for his kids. And he’d make a pretty good mentor. Now this art piece shows him more as a brother figure than a father, but we’ll count it because it’s a cute picture.
15 Chris Would Want Her As A Mom
Tifa is one of those girls who’s very empathetic and kind, but has a hard time showing her emotions. She does have a knack for supporting others, so she’s someone you’d definitely want as your friend. But don’t be fooled; this lady is amazingly strong.
It’s a strange but cute family.
What’s so interesting about this art piece is that it’s actually a crossover. In this piece Tifa is being a mother to Chris, one of the main characters from the TV series Sonic X. While it’s a bit random, I think the crossover works, and seeing Tifa in a mother role is pretty fitting. She would be a fantastic mom!

14 He’s A Complicated Dad
Jecht is an interesting character, mainly that he’s an antagonist in Final Fantasy X, though reluctantly. (Getting possessed by Sin will do that.) Jecht actually is a father, and the father of Tidus, so we’re cheating a bit with the art here, but we’ll count it.
Jecht wasn’t exactly the best father, being gone the majority of Tidus’ life. And he wasn’t even a very good father when he was there, often berating Tidus. But he meant well and he did love his son; he just had a hard time showing it. This fan art is super sweet since it shows Jecht and Tidus during some happier times before things went bad. It’s a cute art piece.
13 You Know This Would’ve Happened
In general, Laguna is a pretty awesome guy. He’s brave, kind, and dedicated to doing what’s right. He is a bit impulsive and clumsy, but in general, he’s a very good man. His story is a bit on the sad side, but he seems to be at peace at the end.
Since it was heavily implied that Squall was actually Laguna’s estranged son, a lot of fans had fun with some fan art. And this one is extra sweet, showing Laguna holding his infant son, something he never was able to do. I also like that Kiros and Ward are there too, showing the bond that these three had.

12 He’d Be A Reluctant Dad
A good word to describe Vincent Valentine would be “loner.” The guy gives off the impression that he’s cold and uncaring, but that’s not necessarily true. He’s a somber guy who’s dedicated to getting revenge on Dr. Hojo for performing unethical experiments on him. But you can tell that he cares about people like Cloud.
Vincent would be a rather interesting dad.
It would be interesting to see Vincent in a father role, since he’s not exactly the best with people. And some fans have imagined what Vincent would be like if he took on a more fatherly role to the younger characters. It’s a fun idea and kind of sweet. I think he would love his kids, but he’d have a hard time showing it.
11 What Could’ve Been
Raine Loire’s love story with Laguna is about as classic as it gets. Girl finds a gravely injured guy washed up on shore, she nurses him back to health, and they fall in love. Her story ends up being tragically short since she perishes giving birth to Laguna’s child.
Raine has proven to be a fantastic mother to Ellone, the girl she adopted after her parents were ended. But fans also like to speculate what it would’ve been like if Raine had survived giving birth. This art piece is very sweet and sad, showing what could’ve been. It would’ve been really sweet to see these two raise their own son along with Ellone.
10 It’s A Family Of Sky Pirates
Balthier is your typical roguish thief with a heart of gold. The guy has quite the bounty on his head from being a sky pirate. He’s rather cocky and dramatic, but when it comes down to it, he’ll do anything to protect the people he cares about. And the fact that he’s running from a dark past makes him pretty interesting.
I could see Balthier and his partner Fran becoming parents. And this art piece plays around with that concept. While Nono may not be their actual kid, they do look like a family. I do think having kids would probably calm down Balthier a bit since he would then be more concerned about their safety than getting the treasure.
9 Before Things Went Wrong
What game would be complete without a mad scientist? And Dr. Cid fits that title pretty well. This is a man who’s a genius and has dedicated himself to studying nethicite in order to develop new technology. This guy is considered insane by many, and for a good reason.
This moment is a bittersweet one.
Dr Cid actually is the father of Balthier, who was known then as Ffamran. So, it’s not that difficult to imagine this doctor as a father. But this art piece is a fun one as it shows Cid and his son in a sweet moment. It’s bittersweet since we know that Cid is eventually going to become more obsessed with his research, which is what drives Ffamran away to become Balthier the sky pirate.

8 They’d Totally Hang Out As Parents
Wherever Laguna is, Kiros and Ward are sure to follow. These three have been the best of friends for ages. And they make a pretty awesome team. Kiros’ and Ward’s more calm personalities help balance out Laguna’s impulsive tendencies nicely, so they all work well together.
I like the idea of Kiros and Ward just taking in some kids that needed a home. I think both of them would be good parents. They’re kind and caring, and their calming personalities would be great for raising kids. I like that this art pieces shows the three hanging out and looking after their own kids. This seems like something they would do.
7 He’s A Noble Father
Noctis is a young prince who is often seen as a bit withdrawn and bored, yet reckless and arrogant. This is a kid who lost his mother and felt a bit neglected by his father who had to see to the kingdom. But eventually he becomes a more confident leader, thanks to the guidance of his friends and mentors.
Noctis as a father would be interesting. He would probably be a fairly stern father, but he wouldn’t be above playing with his kids. This art piece shows him with an aged-down Prompto, which is pretty cute. You know Noctis would adore his kids.
6 She’s A Beautiful Mother
Lunafreya, also known as Luna, is the definition of a capable and noble woman. She’s skilled in the political scene and knows when to put others’ needs above her own. While she’s often facing difficult situations, she never stops being compassionate. I think the world could use more people like Luna.
Luna would be an amazing and beautiful mother.
I think Luna would be an amazing mom. She’s very kind and caring and I could see her being a rather nurturing mother. This art piece is very sweet especially since it has Luna and Noctic being parents. Since the two are betrothed, this could be likely. And this artist made their kids so cute!
5 He’d Be A Fun Dad
In general, Prompto is a pretty awesome and likable guy. He’s not afraid to get Noctis out of one of his moods through humor. If you need to be cheered up, Prompto is a great friend to have. But he’s got his faults too: he has a pretty short attention span and a bit of an inferiority complex since he’s the only one in Noctis’ group that isn’t noble born.
Prompto would be a fun dad. I could see him playing around with his kids and just having a blast. And when it came down to it, he would be responsible for them and protect them. I like this fan art of Prompto and an aged-down Noctis. Considering how much Prompto cares for Noctis, you know he’d protect baby Noctis like crazy.
4 He’s The Smart Parent
Ignis is a pretty cool guy. He’s the most level-headed one of Noctis’ group and he’s often considered Noctis’ right-handed man. This guy is serious and dependable. No matter what’s going on, you can count on him to be by the prince’s side.
Considering Ignis kind of mothers Noctis at times (mostly trying to convince him to eat healthy), it wouldn’t be too hard to picture him as a parent. He would probably be a no-nonsense father, but would still comfort his kids when needed. This fan art of him and a younger Noctis is very sweet and shows Ignis’ softer side, which is nice to see.
3 He’s A Truly Noble Father
It wouldn’t be easy being a king in the best of times, so imagine being a king when your kingdom is under threat of destruction. That’s what Regis is dealing with, and you can’t help but feel for the guy. But despite that, he remains kind and noble.
Regis really does love his son.
Yes, Regis is a father and he’s the father of Prince Noctis, but we’re still counting him. Plus, this fan art of him and a young Noctis is absolutely adorable. You know that Regis cares deeply for his son and often wishes he could be there for him more. But he does what he can, and this art piece does a great job of showing how much he loves him.
2 Talk About A Tough Daddy
Barret is a classic tough guy that’s also secretly a softie. He’s definitely got a temper and some serious strength to match it. You don’t want to mess with him. But he does have a soft spot for the people he loves.
It’s not exactly hard to imagine Barret as a parent since he already has a daughter named Marlene. But we’re including him because these two are seriously cute. There’s something sweet about a huge tough guy caring for a little girl. And this art piece is such a cute one. You know that Barret does care deeply for his daughter and is willing to do anything for her.

Gladiolus is one of Noctis’ friends and mentors. Out of this group, Gladiolus is probably the sternest and tends to clash with Noctis the most. This is usually when he feels that Noctis isn’t trying hard enough, so he can be a bit tough on him. But when it comes down to it, Gladiolus will happily protect Noctis from danger.
I could see Gladiolus as a pretty tough father, but you know that it would come from love. He’d be very blunt with his kids, and he’d probably argue with them, but he’d also protect them from danger. And this art piece with Gladiolus and his aged down friends is pretty cute.
