PlayStation fans have always had good humor about their favorite video games. These hilarious comic artists have captured the magic of PlayStation in these pictures.

Ranging from Metal Gear Solid to classic platforming franchises like Crash and Spyro, these artists have an ahem Knack for making us laugh at video game logic. Of course, a lot of this is owed to how fantastic the franchises are, to begin with — if we didn’t love them so much, we wouldn’t be able to laugh at how funny this stuff is. Come on, what fun is it to have franchises you love if you can’t enjoy poking some fun at them from time to time.

All that said, PlayStation isn’t just first-party games like God of War, it’s also made up of third-party games (which we’ll also be calling on during this list). With all that said, let’s dive into these hilarious PlayStation fan pictures and comics that are simply too funny for words. Every PlayStation fan will get a kick out of this stuff.

22 Quit Copying Me

Memoski made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

You know what’s most surprising to me about LittleBigPlanet? The DLC. There is TONS of it. Do you want to dress up your little Sackboy as Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, or Wolverine? You can do that. There are even costumes for Kratos, which seems odd because he’s a pretty violent dude and LittleBigPlanet is a family-friendly platformer. I’m sure he’d be more upset to see this costume on a doll in reality.

21 The Dark Souls Of Platformers

OudieTH made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

Games used to be hard starting like on the NES. Then it started to even out. With the release of the various Souls games, people seemed to think describing a difficult game as a Souls-like experience was okay. It’s not okay, but calling something the “Dark Souls of blank” can be lazy, like describing Crash Bandicoot as the Dark Souls of platformers. Mega64 summed it up pretty well with this one.

20 Mmm, Snake

Sabrerine911 made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

Have you ever wondered what snake, or alligator tastes like? I know I never did until I played Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. You get to eat some wild and whacky stuff in that game and naturally, Snake likes snakes. Fun fact. When Konami was promoting the original release, they sent press companies canned snake meat, which sounded pretty disgusting. I’d be willing to try snake, but not from a can.

19 Don’t Touch The Nitro

Adamis made this design and put it on TeePublic.

Here’s another great joke at the expense of Crash. We can all definitely get behind this sentiment that the nitroglycerin boxes in his series are frustrating beyond all heck. That said, seeing him explode never got old thanks to his cartoon-ridden deceased animations. It was like Looney Tunes for video games. I wonder if being exploded by nitroglycerin is just as funny in real life. Hmm, well I don’t want to volunteer to test that out.

18 Snake!

Eman made this design and put it on TeePublic.

One of the most iconic lines in any Metal Gear game is the remarks you get on the Game Over screen. It’s just fun to yell, “Snake!” in an increased and more panicked volume the more you scream it.

Game over man, game over.

That said, using that common knowledge as a pun to show the awful Snake game for PCs circa “who the heck cares this game is lame A.D.”, is brilliant. More of this, please.

17 Pac-Man Busters

Albino Raven made this design and put it on Tumblr.

The Ghostbusters, before the all-female reboot, already had an awesome sequel in the form of the 2009 game. It’s the true third act in all but name. I still liked the reboot though. Anyway, point is, on the subject of video games, I’d love to play something where the original crew is hopping around ghost-filled video games like Pac-Man, or Luigi’s Mansion. I’d play the heck out of that!

16 Pun Fighter

Alsnow made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

This artist took the name Street Fighter literally and I love it. Why hasn’t there been a parody mini-game where you can beat up a street? You can do it to cars and barrels, but not to the pavement? Come on, this has existed for thirty years and not one person has thought of implementing this at Capcom? Well, I mean, I bet someone has, but they were probably unjustly fired afterward.

15 March, Boy!

Iklungs made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

If 2018 video game memes could be summarized in one word it would be, “Boy.” When God of War launched back in April, it was the thing gamers couldn’t stop talking about for months. It led the wave of memes and there were so many good ones. I even wrote and covered a few of them, which were great, if I do say so myself. 2018 is the year of the boy.

14 PlayStation Karaoke Heroes

When I started looking for pictures for this article, I didn’t realize a search for “funny PlayStation fan art” on DeviantArt would bring up so many drawings of PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale. I thought the world generally hated that game so thus seeing fan art, and good stuff at that, was surprising.

Anyway, this piece showing Cole from inFamous and Daxter from Jak and Daxter belt out a tune is great. I think the joke is that their voice acting can get graining so therefore their singing would probably be worse.

13 Attack On Evil

AadiTees made this design and put it on TeePublic.

What’s worse than the normal sized Nemesis boss from Resident Evil 3? And by normal I mean for its “species” or whatever because that thing is like a monstrous seven-foot nightmare. Anyway, what’s worse would be a Titan-sized Nemesis.

I don’t think bullets or even rockets would work on this thing. Chris and Jill better call on the Survey Squad for some ODM Gear. Now, this would be a scary, but fitting crossover.

12 PlayStation Mascots

When it comes to the original PlayStation, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon were at the top of the mascots list. They’re as iconic to the console as the logo is. That’s why it’s so upsetting and just downright baffling that neither series is on the PlayStation mini. It’s still surprising to me. Complaints aside, I like this artist’s imagination with Spyro being annoyed at the tomfoolery of Crash. He’s a goof, but a lovable one at that.

11 A Classic Callback

Metal Sonic made this design and put it on Zerochan.

This piece of fan art is probably going to breeze over most who see it, but it’s more than just a fun doodle starring Frieza, Vegeta, and Captain Ginyu. It’s actually a reimagining from a Japanese commercial for Dragon Ball Z: Gokuden 2 on the original PlayStation. It looks like a pretty sweet RPG about the Namek arc. Too bad we didn’t get it in North America, but you can enjoy this ad.

10 Resident Fishermen

Yuffie made this design and put it on Zerochan.

I’ve played Resident Evil 4 a bunch of times since its PS2 port from the GameCube. I love it, but that’s like announcing breathing air is great. That said there are still some things I don’t know about it. For example, when I saw this picture I was confused until I Googled “Resident Evil 4 fish” and was surprised by the results. You can catch fish to restore health? Well, that’s cool!

9 Who’s Next?

MitsukiNeko made this design and put it on Zerochan.

This surely can’t be how Kingdom Hearts III will end. It would be happy, but very strange. That said I’d love for it to be true because it would almost be like a reference to Metal Gear Solid 4.

At the end, Meryl married Johnny Sasaki seemingly out of the blue. Who is that? Oh, just the guy that crapped his pants all the time. That had to be a troll on the fans.

8 Portal For The Every Man

Aniforce made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

Portal and a Portal 2 are both fantastic games. Yadda yadda yadda, we all know that by now, right? So let’s get to this doodle’s subject: using portals for everyday use. I’m sure we’ve all had fantasies on how we’d use one of these guns in real life. The practical uses are mind-numbing. Using it for a haircut is funny, but it would be wasted at a barbershop.

7 Laser Ducks

Drakenyaze made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

This is more of a Photoshop masterpiece than it is a piece of fan art, but I want to include it anyway. Why? It’s very obvious. Because it makes me laugh.

If any video game protagonist could give those ducks from Duck Hunt a run for their money; it would be Leon S. Kennedy. That trusty laser-scope makes eliminating enemies a piece of cake.

6 Meat Dreams

Iastudio made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

In Persona 4, whom did you like to date? If it were anyone besides Chie, you’d be a fool. Sure, she may not be the most outright attractive girly girl on the team, but her tomboy attitude is adorable as is her love of meat. I’m sure she has plenty of dreams like this all the time and this is on the tame side. I’m sure she’s had other meaty dreams if you get what I mean.

5 Parappa The Doghouse

Parappa is a cool dog. He doesn’t need a doghouse though since he’s anthropomorphic. That may seem strange coming from Drake from Uncharted though since dogs don’t talk, let alone rap, in his reality. That said, his world is also strange since he can mow down armies singlehanded, but that’s another story. I’m not sure why a Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet is here helping, but it’s funny regardless of logic.

4 Missing Details

Noot made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

The Kingdom Hearts series does a decent job of incorporating most of the Disney film plots into their games. They’re not perfect though, but they trim the fat and get to the good stuff. Time, budget, and technical support has to be big reasons for their incomplete emulations.

A joke as old as time.

So I can see why Kingdom Hearts II didn’t show the parts from Beauty and the Beast where Beast gets dolled up like a pretty boy. It would have been funny to see, but unnecessary.

3 Unreal Backpack

Phil-SH made this design and put it on DeviantArt.

As ridiculous as it is in Dead Rising, I’m thankful your inventory isn’t limited like it is in something similar like say Fallout. That said, in reality, it does beg the question.

An infinite amount of ways to decapitate zombies.

Where does Frank West put it all? He doesn’t have a backpack, so where does it all go? Again, in the grand scheme of things, it’s totally fine. This is a game with zombies after all.
