Disney has involved themselves in the video game industry in both successful and unsuccessful ways. One of their failures was Disney Infinity which sold many figures that would connect to an open world game. In one way, it was a success since the figures are still collected and customized by fans. Ultimately though, it failed due to its company, Avalanche Software, shutting down.
Epic Mickey fell somewhere in the middle of success and failure. It got mixed reviews by critics but was overall well-liked enough by audiences to get a sequel. However, the sequel made very poor sales and Disney canceled any further development of the project.
A major success was the well-known Kingdom Hearts series. In a partnership with Square Enix, Disney has had their characters and worlds featured in a video game world grounded by adoring fans and gamers alike. Square Enix even included some Final Fantasy characters in the series. Everyone wins.
But this list is not about canon Disney video games. There is no fandom as dedicated and diverse as Disney’s. The same can be said for video games, which have been getting more and more popular with different age groups with each passing year. These fans grow up with Disney and video games like a second home they can turn to.
So why not mash Disney and popular games together? Kingdom Hearts is an amazing crossover, but what about crossovers with Bethesda games? Pokémon? Star Wars? These artists have given us a glance.
25 Part Of Your Pokémon World
Pokémon games have gone everywhere, even under the sea. Remember the games where you had the HM move “Dive?” The games could have done so much more with that.
The artist has an entire series with Disney princesses and different Eeveelutions.
Of course, Ariel would match with Vaporeon, the water-type evolution. While mermaids do not quite exist in the Pokémon world, there is the episode, “The Misty Mermaid” in which Misty does a water Pokémon show while dressed as a mermaid.

24 Keyblade Master Belle
As mentioned earlier, Kingdom Hearts is an amazing Disney and video game crossover. However, we never see the Disney characters develop very far outside of what’s expected of them. They remain in their worlds and do what we already expect of them.
But what if Disney princesses like Belle get chosen by the keyblade and they, like Sora and friends, travel to other worlds and fight off the darkness. The futuristic design of Belle is amazing enough to sell the idea.

23 Snow White In Fallout
It’s easy to imagine Snow White singing along to her Pip-Boy radio. This piece was made by an artist who made a whole collection of Disney princesses in the Fallout universe.
“Animal Friend” is already an existing perk within the Fallout games.
It’s a perk that makes it so that the dangerous animals of the wasteland no longer fight you. In fact, they can even fight for you! Snow White would definitely have that perk. It would be the key to her survival.

22 Anna In Skyrim
What Frozen and Skyrim have in common is a heavy dose of Norse influence. That’s right Arendelle is based off various locations in Norway. More than that, characters like Kristoff were inspired by Norway’s indigenous people who live among their reindeer, the Saami.
As for Skyrim, the mountains, wilderness, and towns were all inspired by places in Scandinavia, which includes Norway. Even the word for the Nord race is an obvious call to Norwegians, and the Nords are indigenous to Skyrim!

21 They Got His Nose Wrong
This nose gag is from Tangled. Eugene is a wanted criminal so there are wanted posters of him and he, hilariously so, is annoyed by the fact they drew his nose blatantly wrong.
An artist took this Disney humor and applied it to Zevran from the Dragon Age games.
While you never see a wanted poster of him, he is an assassin so finding such a poster would make sense. Zevran, like Eugene, is a lovable trickster rogue character so the situation fits him perfectly.
Artist is unknown.
20 Lion King Meets Overwatch
“Alright, so I dived into the open-beta and sucked up the lore on the website like a sponge,” the artist wrote. “My favorite character is definitely Junkrat. I made a joke about Junkrat and Roadhog being like Timon and Pumba. (2 Misfits/ 1 is Blondeish and lanky / 1 is Tubby and…a hog…). Couldn’t let it go so… yeah.”
This crossover is so perfect, it makes one wonder if the makers of Overwatch somehow based Junkrat and Roadhog on Timon and Pumba.

19 Final Fantasy Sisters
The artist saw that Elsa and Anna were a little similar to the sisters of Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning and Serah.
“As far as the outfits are concerned - like with the rest of my Disney crossovers - I like to try and come up with hybrids of the original costumes, and whatever I’m mixing it with,” wrote the artist.
“I didn’t want to just do Lightning’s outfit with an ice blue theme, etc. I wanted to try and come up with something that related to her outfits silhouette/details, but also reference Elsa’s iconic dress as well.”

18 Bloodborne Mickey Mouse
This picture is part of a series of the core Disney Mouse crew as Bloodborne characters.
“While Kingdom Hearts is kid-friendly, I leaned towards the opposite end,” wrote the artist. “It all started with smooth-matching of Mickey and Micolash, just by name alone. I gave mashup priority to the Core Mouse Crew, and mashup criteria were wordplay, phonetics, and punnery. It was tough finding somewhere for the Ducks (there’s Ludwig, but he’s expanded universe), Goofy was initially Gaston but we all know Gaston is nothing ‘fatherly’.”

17 Elsa And Rosalina
“Elsa and Rosalina together. HOW ORIGINAL AND NEVER SEEN BEFORE!” the artist joked.
The artist joked that this piece lacked originally because, for some reason, a lot of fans compare and contrast Elsa and Rosalina.
Frozen and the Mario franchise does not seem like the kind of crossover that would be popular. At least that’s the case for Elsa and Rosalina. Maybe it’s because they look alike? Or because they are both royalty? Or that they both have powers?

16 Warhammer Belle
There is something so cathartic about seeing these delicate princess characters just put into a monstrous suit of armor.
Warhammer has numerous video games, but at its heart, it’s a table-top war game that uses miniature models. It would be cool to see a Warhammer miniature model of this Belle version. That would definitely sell for a pretty penny. A lot of money and personal artist work can go into those figures anyway. Someone needs to make a Disney princess army.

15 Assassins Creed Meets Aladdin
“Altaïr is seeking a Piece of Eden hidden in the mythical Cave of Wonders,” wrote the artist.
“He already possesses one half of another PoE in the form of a golden scarab, but another half is needed to locate and enter the Cave.
“Fortunately, Aladdin just happens to have inherited the missing half from his long-[passed]mother, he just never knew what it was for until Altaïr showed up. They combine the two halves and the scarab leads them to the Cave.”

14 Mei Lets It Go
Like Elsa, Mei from Overwatch has weather-altering abilities. However, it’s fewer superpowers and more technology. She has to use weapons like an Endothermic Blaster to control ice. It’s okay Mei, you’re like the Batman version of Elsa!
Mei and Elsa’s personalities are not quite alike though. Mei would definitely like the movie, Frozen, but unlike Elsa, she is optimistic and cheerful. Who says you have to have a cold personality to like ice and snow or use them in a fight?

13 Stitch Animal Crossing Villager
Well, this is just cute. The artist took the koala design from Animal Crossing and turned it into Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. His jacket has 626 on it too!
Animal Crossing is one of the most innocent video games out there so seeing this crossover is not jarring like some others on this list.
What Animal Crossing personality would the Stitch villager have though? Uchi, peppy, cranky, normal, snooty, smug, lazy, or jock? He’s a character with many sides, but villagers tend to be pretty predictable.
12 Assassin Anna
Assassin’s Creed has come a long way since its first game with Altair. Today it actually has women assassins and we have explored much of the world through their games. Still, this Anna is far more colorful than the rest of the assassins in the franchise. Even Ezio would be like, “Whoa, that’s a little overboard.”
But let’s be honest, this is what gamers really want. We want to be princess assassins. We want cool armor covering princess dresses.

11 Rapunzel As Tracer
Both Rapunzel and Tracer are kind of hyper in personality. Tracer short black hair compared to Rapunzel’s long flowing blonde hair is majorly different though.
Hair that long seems like it would be a hindrance on the battlefield.
Disney already expected to stretch the fans’ suspension of disbelief when it came to Rapunzel’s hair. We know that in real life hair that long would be gross. In real life, her hair would need to be washed every hour to stay clean of dirt, leaves, and trash.

10 Kratos Versus Hercules
The best part of this picture is that this fight is technically canon. Kratos fights and brutally defeats Hercules in God of War II. However, Hercules in God of War II was very different from the Disney version. There are few to no heroes in the God of War series, and Hercules was a brute.
Look at Hercules’ weapons though. Like in the game, they are lion heads. However, they have been made into Disney-theme too with Scar’s face from The Lion King!

9 Jedi Ariel
If you have not seen this image already, you have to check out the rest of the series. The artist made more Disney princesses into amazing Jedi such as Belle, Rapunzel, and Jasmine.
This Ariel does not have a fishtail, but mechanical legs!
Also, Flounder is a drone! What’s not to love about this picture? The artist still kept Ariel fish-like through making her seem like an aquatic alien with fin-like hair and scales on the side of her face.

8 Carl As Old Snake
There are not enough games that feature elderly people. Solid Snake may not even count, since his aging is unusual due to being a clone. Still, old is old so Carl can pull off a cosplay of old Solid Snake from Metal Gear.
It’s easy to imagine Russell dragging Carl to a Comic-Con or some sort of convention and making him cosplay for the event. He would be very popular. What could Russell cosplay as? Otacon? Definitely Otacon.

7 Rapunzel Versus Cazador
If you played Fallout: New Vegas, then you know cazadors are like evil incarnate. So power to Rapunzel for putting that frying pan to good use.
She would certainly be an unusual sight in the wasteland.
Everyone would ask, “How did you get your hair like that?” Would it still be magic? Or maybe we can blame some odd radiation. After all, we’ve seen radiation turn people into magic beings and trees in other games.
Having bare feet seems like a major hazard. She should get some shoes.
6 Blue Buddies
Lilo and Stitch have a surprisingly big amount of video games in their name for a Disney movie that is not as big as the princess movies. There are Playstation games like Lilo and Stitch: Trouble in Paradise and Stitch: Experiment 626. There are also handheld games like Disney Stitch Jam for the Nintendo DS and it’s sequel Motto! Stitch! DS: Rhythm de Rakugaki Daisakusen.
Of course, the games are not well known next to Sonic the Hedgehog. It’s easy to picture the two get along though.
