2020 is shaping up to be a pretty incredible year for games. There’s a lot of high profile titles launching in the near future that are going to do a serious number on our wallets. But while February doesn’t have a Doom Eternal or a Cyberpunk 2077 available there are still some hot new games coming in the next few weeks.

So before the heavy hitters of 2020 arrive, here are the hottest games coming out this month.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Everyone likes to shoot Nazis. Everyone likes to shoot zombies. So everyone must love to shoot Nazi zombies. Made by the same folks who gave us the Sniper Elite games, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the fourth installment of this cooperative, World War II zombie-blasting extravaganza. Valve apparently isn’t planning on ever giving us Left 4 Dead 3 for whatever asinine reason, so this is the closest thing we’re going to get (at least for this month.) Grab some friends, get some guns, and murder thousands of Hitler’s undead buddies.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is available on February 4 for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance Tactics

Never thought they’d make a Final Fantasy Tactics game with Gelflings, yet that’s what The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance Tactics appears to be. Based on the excellent Netflix series that was a prequel to Jim Henson’s classic film, your mission is to protect the realm of Thra from the greedy talons of the Skeksis. The art style seems charming, although we doubt it’ll be as fun as watching actual puppets fight each other. Still, if this game is able to live up to the lofty reputation that the franchise has set then it could be fantastic. But even if it’s not, it should still be fun to beat up some Fizzgigs.

The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance Tactics is available on February 4 for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Dreams

Dreams has had a long stay in Sony’s version of Early Access on the Playstation Store. It’s another make-your-own-sandbox-style game from Media Molecule, the creators of the Little Big Planet franchise. The big difference here is that instead of dropping Sackboy into a bunch of creative platforming levels you can practically design whatever you want. Players who jumped into Dreams early have already done insane things with the software. A Metal Gear Solid remake, a first-person shooter, one guy even made a really tasty-looking breakfast. The sky seems to be the limit with Dreams, and whether you’re a creative person getting into game design or someone who just wants to fool around with everyone else’s creations, this could be the most fascinating game dropping this month.

Dreams will be available on February 14 for Playstation 4.

World Of Horror

Technically, World Of Horror will be only be released into Early Access on Steam this month, but it’s so intriguing that it has to be mentioned on this list. Designed by a one-man team out of Poland, this is a horror game with a very low-res, black and white, text adventure style. Animations have 1 or maybe 2 frames and everything looks like it could run perfectly fine in DOS. The creator, Pawel Kozminiski - who was previously a dentist which explains his affinity for horror and evil - says World Of Horror was inspired by the works of Junji Ito and H.P. Lovecraft and it definitely shows. This is a game you’re going to want to keep an eye on.

World Of Horror will available on February 20 in Early Access on Steam.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

This last game is really six games in one so you get some real bang for your buck. Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection bundles together Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3, and 4, and then throws in Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent for the sake of completion. And because Capcom is feeling fairly generous, you also get some additional artwork and filters, save assist, a Casual Scenario Mode, something called a Z Chaser Mode, and other goodies as well. More Mega Man is never a bad thing, and since this will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll get even more Mega action to take on the go.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will be available on February 25 for Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

This is just a small sample of the titles releasing this February. It’s going to be a good year for gaming, especially since March looks to be chockful of astounding games. We hope you got some money squirreled away because gaming is about to get pretty dang expensive.
