Rapper 50 Cent, not content with starring in his own video game series, is to lend his voice talent to this year’s blockbuster video game sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling told Kotaku that 50 Cent is “one of many squad voices” that will be heard in the multiplayer and Spec Ops modes in MW2. According to Bowling, players will hear Fifty shouting out phrases including “Reloading,” “Watch your fire,” “I’m down, get me up!” and “Tango Down!”.

Bowling added that 50 Cent “is one of quite a few casual cameos in the game, none of which I can name at this point”.

The previous entry in the Call of Duty franchise, World at War, featured the voice talent of Keifer Sutherland and Gary Oldman.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for release worldwide on November 10 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
