7 Million Amiibo Have Been Sold In The Us

Nintendo has sold an impressive 7 million amiibo figures in the US, the platform holder revealed in a report published by The NPD Group.

Back in May, Nintendo said it had shipped 10.5 million amiibo worldwide, two thirds of which were in the US and Canada. This would suggest that worldwide amiibo sales have now caught up with the shipped figure.

Nintendo has also reported a 30 per cent increase in 3DS hardware sales for the first eight months of the year, and confirmed that Splatoon has sold over 600,000 copies in the US.
