That’s according to reporting from Deadline, who claim the company is in talks with PlayStation Productions. They claim that The Expanse creators and executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby are behind the plans. The Wheel of Time executive producer and showrunner Rafe Judkins is also allegedly on board.
Fergus and Ostby already have an impressive pedigree, sharing a Oscar nomination for the co-writing of 2006 dystopian thriller Children of Men. They were also co-writers on the script for Marvel’s Iron Man movie, which famously lit the fuse starting the MCU. Judkins meanwhile most recently has a screenplay and story credit on the recent Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland.
Meanwhile, the next outing for the games will be this year’s God of War: Ragnarok. That lands on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 sometime this year, hopefully a more precise date will be announced soon.
We hear the ‘God of War’ series adaptation comes from ‘The Expanse’ creators/executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby and ‘The Wheel of Time’ executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins as well as Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions https://t.co/HzJurBRO8X
