A MediEvil 2 remake could be in consideration, as surmised from a tweet from the composer of the original MediEvil series and the MediEvil Remake (via games radar).

Rich thought that 2019’s MediEvil was a wonderful remake of a cult classic. “There’s an inherent charm to MediEvil, not only in its weird and wonderful characters, but also in its deliberately off-kilter environments,” he said. “By today’s standards, MediEvil is a mite on the clunky side, but it more than gets by in its persistence as something genuinely unique, even two decades on.” The game did alright too, and was the fifth best selling game in its launch week, closing in on The Outer Worlds from Obsidian Entertainment.

Remasters of PlayStation classics like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy came in, well, a trilogy. The MediEvil series also is a trilogy, but it seems that Other Ocean Entertainment and Sony won’t be resurrecting the second and third games. But, a mysterious tweet from Andrew Barnabas, composer of the original MediEvil series and the MediEvil Remake, is sparking intrigue. The SaveMediEvil Twitter account contacted Barnabas, sending him only the figure “2.” The composer replied with “Actually…” which is a strange response. The SaveMediEvil Twitter account carries a torch for MediEvil 2, and is campaigning for a remaster with “#ResurrectFortesque2.” Barnabas’ reply seems to tease that a MediEvil 2 remaster could be in the works.

Actually…..

A naysayer came to rain on their parade, and claimed that the remaster is a pipe dream because “MediEvil Remake didn’t do very well.” Barnabas countered with “I’m sorry you are incorrect.” This could be read as another affirmation that MediEvil 2 is getting a makeover, or that 2019’s MediEvil did well. All of the above is rumour at the moment, and we aren’t able to say for certain, but it would be welcomed by plenty of Fortesque fans. We’ll keep you in the loop once we know more.

I’m sorry you are incorrect
