The latest bits of information datamined out of Elden Ring show that the game might have some big DLC. Dataminer Sekiro Dubi, who has scoured the game’s files since launch, has claimed to have found more evidence of future content. This includes a potential of nearly 30 more boss fights to come, as well as content that will finally make use of the many Colosseums found in Elden Ring.

Sekiro Dubi first noticed the potential for upcoming DLC in Elden Ring earlier in October. They found that four parameters were added to the game to display text seemingly used for matches at the Colosseum. These messages include “Begin Match,” “Draw,” and “You Lose,” which seems to line up. The Colosseums dotted around the land of Elden Ring have raised plenty of questions since its launch. Hopefully, an upcoming update or DLC can soon make them functional.

Besides the Colosseums, Sekiro Dubi discovered that numerous boss fights could soon be added to Elden Ring. They mention that there’s room for 30 potential bosses in an upcoming DLC. For now, it’s unknown if these spaces will all be used up, but it seems that we can expect a maximum of 30. And that’s far more than any other FromSoftware DLC has added in the past. But considering the scale of Elden Ring, it makes sense that its DLC would need to be massive as well. Fingers crossed that it won’t end up being a lot of reskinned encounters.

So… in the section where boss flags are declared they left out room for 30 flags for DLC purposes. So, I’m not saying the DLCs are going to add 30 new bosses, but they made room for as many of those

Elden Ring‘s DLC could be massive, with fun battles in the Colosseums

As with any FromSoftware title, Elden Ring is still an extremely popular game long after its launch. Its community is still very large, and it’s clear that it has a passionate following. Of course, the more casual player base has likely moved on from the game. But if the upcoming additional content is as impressive as it seems, it could easily bring these players back. For now, we don’t know if Elden Ring‘s Colosseum content and the extra boss battles will come together as part of a bigger DLC package. But either way, it’s likely the game will still have plenty of life for a long while yet. And there’s also the matter of what comes next after Elden Ring.
