Whispers are going around claiming that EA could be working on a new Iron Man game.
That’s according to fresh comments from rumour-monger extraordinaire Jeff Grubb. As spotted by Eurogamer, Grubb was speaking on the Giant Bomb Game Mess Mornings stream about a previous rumour that EA was working on a Black Panther game.
During the broadcast, Grubb said “In addition to making that Black Panther game we talked about last week, and they’re making another Marvel game that’s single player.” However, Grubb didn’t specify any further details.
That came later, from another regular around the rumour mill, Tom Henderson. Tweeting the clip in question, Henderson claimed to have heard rumours that it’d be an Iron Man game. He did follow this up with a caveat though. “I never had anything concrete to fully report on.”
There’s not much further information on this rumour at the time of writing. So for now, take this information with a pinch of salt.
The last Iron Man solo game was Iron Man VR. That released as a PlayStation VR exclusive on the PS4 back in 2020. Prior to that, we had the Iron Man movie tie-in game all the way back in 2008.
Elsewhere in the world of Marvel, we can look forward to Marvel’s Midnight Suns in October from 2K, and Insomniac’s excellent Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered makes its long-awaited arrival to PC next week.
