A Plague Tale Publisher Acquires Deck13 Interactive Developer Of The Surge

Focus Home Interactive has snapped up Deck13 Interactive, the developer of The Surge series (via Fextralife).

The deal comprises all 60 employees, its intellectual properties, and its indie publishing wing, and totalled €7.1 million, (or almost $8 million USD).

“We are very happy to welcome the team of Deck13 and look forward to working together to achieve our ambitious objectives,” said Jürgen Goeldner, chairman for the Focus Home Interactive management board. This acquisition marks a major milestone in our growth story and will strengthen our business model. This acquisition will be financed by the drawing down of the new bank financing of €46 million which will also support our other future developments.”
