Alan Wake is once again available to buy on Steam, after the game was removed in May last year due to licensing issues with its soundtrack.
Developer Remedy confirmed that Microsoft, who published the psychological horror title back in 2010 for Xbox 360, has managed to work its magic allowing the game to be sold again across multiple digital stores.
Microsoft actually didn’t publish the game on PC, so it’s impressive to see that they’ve been willing to go the extra mile and renegotiate the rights to the music for Alan Wake in this respect.
While the game will be released for multiple digital platforms again, Alan Wake is available on Steam right now, and will be discounted for Halloween. If you haven’t played it yet, then this is an ideal time to do so – it’s bloody fantastic.
Alan Wake features a number of licensed tracks from artists including Roy Orbison, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Bowie, and Harry Nilsson.
