Indie sci-fi adventure Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space is to release on PS4 and Xbox One next week, publisher Merge Games has announced.
The game will be available from the European PlayStation Store on January 19 before heading to Xbox One worldwide on January 20. A US PS4 release will follow on February 2. The game is expected to cost £11.99 on both platforms.
First released on PC last year following a stint in Early Access, Albedo sees players step into the role of John T. Longy, a night-watchman at an abandoned research facility who must unravel the mystery behind the strange alien creatures that have invaded the base.
The game mixes puzzle-solving with first-person shooting and is said to have been inspired by 60s sci-fi b-movies. It’s also been developed by just one man, who claims to have been “kidnapped by a visiting alien race… for five minutes of human-time”. Hmm…
