Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie has finally seen the release of its first trailer. With this first bit of early news, we can now start to see the film’s cast of actors in action as our favorite characters from gaming’s most iconic series. There’s a very star-studded list of actors here, too; here are all the confirmed cast members for The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Super Mario Bros Movie Cast List

So far, only nine actors have been confirmed with their proper roles in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The early cast list is as follows:

  • Chris Pratt as Mario, the mustachioed plumber hero.Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom.Charlie Day as Luigi, Mario’s younger (and clumsier) brother.Jack Black as Bowser, the leader of the Koopa and trademark villain.Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Peach’s loyal mushroom servant.Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, a former antagonist of Mario’s.Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Donkey Kong’s wise-cracking grandfather known for his tendency to break the fourth wall.Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, a member of the Magikoopa species and Bowser’s most loyal minion (not to be confused with Illumination’s other Minions).Sebastian Maniscalco as Foreman Spike, a construction worker who last appeared in the 1984 NES game Wrecking Crew.

Nintendo and Illumination have assembled a massive cast of A-listers for the film but aren’t entirely forgetting the original cast. Charles Martinet, who voiced Mario and several other characters in the series, will appear in the film in some cameo roles. It’s not confirmed what those roles could be, but we’ll surely learn more about them when the film releases on April 7.
