Grounded is a fantastic survival game in which you are shrunk down and must survive in a dangerous garden. To stand a chance, you need to build bases, craft items, and do whatever you can to give yourself an advantage. One of the key ways to do so is by creating a smoothie station. This is accomplished by combining an acorn top, five grub sludge, and four sprigs. Once created, this station will allow you to produce various helpful smoothies to aid you on your adventures.

There are 11 smoothie recipes that Grounded has to offer in the game’s full release. You can create them at the smoothie station. You just require a strange mixture of ingredients that can sometimes be tricky to track down. But each smoothie is worth the investment, as they will provide incredibly useful boosts for you. These boosts will usually last for two minutes, and they can be stacked with other smoothies, giving quite an advantage for you during your travels.

Updated October 28, 2022, by Luke Ackroyd: All smoothie recipes Grounded has available offer a temporary perk, such as stamina boosts and damage immunities. This make them worth crafting before you next set out into the world of Grounded. As of September 2022, Grounded has had a full release. Over its time in early access, the game has changed quite a lot, with new features, locations, and threats to face - Grounded smoothies have been in the game for quite a while but have changed slightly since this article was initially released. From changes in ingredients to the addition of smoothie bases, here is everything you need to know about the Grounded smoothie recipes.

Smoothie Bases

The three base ingredients:

  • Basic Smoothie - Grub Sludge Beefy Smoothie - Muscle Sprout Sticky Smoothie - Gum Nugget

Before you can craft any of the recipes in this list, you will first need to grab some base ingredients. There are three types of smoothie bases available. You place one of them into the smoothie station alongside the other ingredients, and you’ll have a smoothie ready to go.

  • The Basic Smoothie uses grub sludge. You can harvest this sludge by killing grubs, which you’ll find at Oak Hill and in big caves. The grub sludge simply sets the duration of the smoothie to two minutes. The second option is the Beefy Smoothie. To craft this variant, you need muscle sprouts. These muscle sprouts can be located in the Laboratory Dome, hidden beneath the pond (one of the garden’s more scenic locations). The Beefy Smoothie will double the amount of healing the smoothie will grant you. The third type of smoothie is the Sticky Smoothie. You craft this by using gum nuggets. These nuggets are most frequently found at the picnic table. You’ll need a Black Ant Shovel to harvest it. The Sticky Smoothie doubles the duration of your status effects to four minutes instead of two.

Questionable Slop

If you make the mistake of putting in the wrong ingredients, attempting to invent a new smoothie of your own, you are not entirely out of luck. Three random items mixed with the base ingredient will create the Questionable Slop instead.

Even though it is not as good as the other smoothie recipes, the Questionable Slop smoothie will still give you some benefits. It will replenish your thirst and health. A Beefy Smoothie will still double this. Additionally, if you made a Sticky Smoothie version, you will also gain the regenerate status effect, which will heal you over time.

Liquid Rage

Ingredients:

  • Red Ant’s Mandible Spider’s Fang Larva Spike

This rage-inducing smoothie will increase your attack damage while also replenishing your hunger and health. This smoothie is perfect for when you know you’re about to get into a battle.

To make this smoothie, you will need to take down a red soldier ant, a wolf spider, and a larva. You can find all three of these creatures in the Grasslands. Looting the bodies, you can grab an ant mandible, a spider’s fang, and a larva spike. Combining these three items will create the Liquid Rage, which would have been handy for taking down these creatures in the first place.

Hedge Lord

  • Aphid Honeydew Acorn Bits Berry Chunk

Traveling around the garden wilderness can be hungry and thirsty work. Luckily, this smoothie will decrease the hunger and thirst depletion rate, so you can go longer without having a snack. It will also replenish hunger and health in general.

The ingredients needed for this smoothie include one aphid honeydew, one portion of acorn bits, and a berry chunk. The acorns are usually found beside the Oak Tree, and you can spot the berries near the Hedge. The honeydew is dropped occasionally by tiny green insects called aphids, which frequent the same locations as the other ingredients.

Green Machine

Ingredients:

  • Algae Sprig Cloverleaf

If you want to be sprinting around the garden, you should mix up a Green Machine. This smoothie will boost your stamina recovery rate. On top of this, it will replenish thirst and health.

The components for this smoothie include a piece of algae, a sprig, and a cloverleaf. Algae are found around the edge of the Koi Pond. You can easily find sprigs everywhere. The cloverleaf is a little trickier to spot. It can be harvested from a clover stalk with an axe. These stalks are usually located near puddles.

Gastro Goo

  • Aphid Honeydew Stinkbug Gas Sack Fungal Growth

The dangerous stinkbugs and the Haze Biome can be combated with the Gastro Goo smoothie, which will protect you from gas damage for a limited time. As with the other smoothies, it will also replenish thirst and health.

To make this smoothie, you will need an aphid honeydew, a stinkbug gas sack, and fungal growth. The gas sack requires tracking down stinkbugs near the Haze Biome. In the Haze Zone, you also need to hunt for infected animals, such as the infected weevil and mite. They will sometimes drop fungal growth after being killed. The honeydew is dropped by aphids. You can find these creatures in the Grasslands.

Boost Juice

  • Raw Aphid Meat Acorn Bits Mushroom

The boost juice will increase your maximum stamina. It will also replenish hunger and health. You can now run around for far longer, but you should still make sure to slow down and photograph the beautiful sights along your adventure.

To achieve this boost, you need to collect a piece of raw aphid meat, some acorn bits, and a mushroom. Hopefully, you have much room in your inventory for these items… Sorry. You can find the small white mushrooms near giant mushrooms, or you can set up your very own garden patch for easy access to the resource. Acorn bits can be found inside acorns in the Oak Hill biome. You’ll need to kill an aphid in the grasslands to harvest its raw meat.

Fuzz On The Rocks

  • Mite Fuzz Clay Pebblet

This classy smoothie will increase your maximum health. Your thirst and health will also be replenished. This is all perfect for making sure you stay fit and healthy during your adventures.

To create this cocktail, you will need to find some mite fuzz, clay, and a pebblet. The mite fuzz is dropped by lawn mites when they are killed. These red arachnids can be discovered in the Grasslands. You can mine clay from smooth rocks. These are usually found around the ponds. As for the pebblet, these little stones are found just about anywhere.

Worker’s Comp

  • Red Ant’s Head Red Ant Part Red Ant’s Mandible

If you want to carry more grass planks and weed stems, mixing up a Worker’s Comp is vital. This smoothie will increase your carry weight with the +Hauling Strength stat. This will allow you to carry two extra planks. Hunger and health will also be replenished when this smoothie is drunk.

The necessary ingredients are an ant’s head, a part of an ant, and an ant’s mandible. Any red ant can provide you with a body part or a head. The ant’s mandible, however, is found on red soldier ants only. Both types of ants can be found all over the Grasslands. A lot of innocent ants have to be sacrificed to make this mighty smoothie.

Human Food

  • Fresh Apple Bit Fresh Cookie Sandwich Bit Fresh Billy Hog Bite

The Human Food smoothie is, unsurprising, a concoction of human food. The smoothie will provide you with increased damage resistance. The questionable beverage also replenishes your hunger and health.

Instead of strange ant parts, this smoothie requires an apple bit, a cookie sandwich bit, and a Billy Hog Bite. Ignoring the five-second rule, you can grab these items from fallen hot dogs, apple cores, and cookie sandwiches. They require a slash from an axe to break them into more manageable chunks to carry home. It is important to note that it has to be the fresh version of these ingredients. The bits you steal from ants do not count. It has to be harvested straight from the fallen foods themselves.

Liquid Gills

  • Raw Water Flea Meat Eelgrass Strand Raw Tadpole Meat

If you want to dive into the pond for a swim, it is handy to down the Liquid Gills smoothie first. This drink will increase your breath time with the +Veteran Diver stat. It will also help with your health and hunger.

This smoothie needs the raw meat of a water flea, which is a blob creature found floating in the Koi Pond. The water flea is undoubtedly on the stranger side of the creatures encountered in Grounded. You will also need an eelgrass strand and the raw meat of a tadpole, both of which are also located at the Koi Pond.

Fluid Flippers

  • Water Boatman Fin Eelgrass Strand Lily Pad Wax

To swim through the pond at a much faster rate, you need to have a glass of Liquid Flippers. This smoothie will increase your swim speed alongside replenishing your hunger and health.

The recipe requires you to find a water boatman fin, an eelgrass strand, and lily pad wax. You can acquire the wax from beneath a flowering lily pad. While collecting eelgrass strands from the shallower areas at the pond, you will also need to track down and fight a water boatman to steal its fin.
