Just when players thought that Namco Bandai revealed all of the big guns earlier this week, with the announcement that Tales of Graces F and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3, they’re now also making headlines with the reveal that Armored Core 5 will be making its way to North America and Eupore.
Armored Core 5 was developed and published in Japan by From Software, but Namco Bandai has decided to publish the game for an overseas release. The previous entry in the series, Armored Core 4, was released back in 2007, so it has been a couple of years since players have been able to immerse themselves in this series’ grand-scale battles.
Online multiplayer will be the focus of this new entry into the Armored Core series, with the player needing to team up with other online players to form a team in order to combat the enemy. The game’s online mode will feature five-on-five teams who will work towards completing multiple objectives.
There will still be a singlerplayer mode in the game, and what sounds really interesting is that if players happens to be playing an online match and all of the other players go offline, the battle will still commence in the offline singleplayer mode. In order for players to succeed, they will need to make an efficient use of the game’s geography as well as combat tactics.
Here is the trailer of the game:
Judging by this trailer, which is only meant to be a “first-look” at the game, it appears that Armored Core 5 is going to have significantly bigger battles with mechs thats look even more powerful than previously seen in the Armored Core series.
Has not being able to play a new Armored Core game in a couple years dulled your desire to play Armored Core 5?
