The beta, exclusive to the PlayStation 3, has been going strong for a few weeks now. Previously available only to those who’ve pre-ordered at GameStop, Brotherhood’s multiplayer mode has been generally well received by anyone who’s had the opportunity to play the game.

Sony and Ubisoft’s decision to open it up to more gamers is nothing short of good news. Hopefully the two companies will eventually decide to open it up to all PlayStation 3 gamers, at least for a few days, allowing everyone the chance to assassinate human opponents and giving Ubisoft the chance to do a stress test before the game launches on November 16th.

If you’re reading this while you’ve got the beta in your download queue, you can expect some great assassinations with a unique but fitting cast of characters when you play the game. We were pretty high on the beta when we gave you our impressions earlier this month, and having a larger community to play the beta with will only diminish our concerns about the time it takes to get a match going.

Don’t waste any time, Ranters. Log in to the PlayStation Store and click the “PlayStation Plus” tab and you’ll be able to start downloading right now.

Spend some time with the beta and then let us know what you think! Do you like the leveling system? Who’s your favorite assassin to play as? What unlockables would you like to see in the final version of the game? You know what to do – the comments section is below and it’s just begging for your opinions.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 16th, 2010 in North America and November 19th, 2010 in Europe.
