FIFA 23 has kicked off its second batch of Team of the Week (TOTW) players – TOTW 2.
TOTW 1 was an incredibly strong squad and if our predictions are anything to go by, TOTW 2 looks like things has stepped up from the way EA have launched it!
TOTW 2 will be available when FIFA 23 releases on the 30th of September. However, for gamers currently enjoying FIFA 23 early access, they’ll be able to access the current Team of the Week now!
Remember, if you haven’t pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, but want to give FIFA 23 a go, you can become a member of EA Play, which will give you 10 hours of gameplay to trial the game.
When will TOTW 2 release?
TOTW 2 will release at 6:00pm BST, at the same time TOTW always releases.
From when this was last typed, TOTW 2 has now since been launched by EA for fans to collect!
EA will reveal the TOTW 2 via their social channels. We will also be updating this article when it drops.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 REVEALED
FIFA 23’s Team Of The Week 2 is here! We’ve got the run down on the next batch of in-form cards to be released by EA which was heavily influenced by the international matches that occurred.
According to EA as TOTW looks to kick off again in full steam.
As leaked by reputable FIFA leaker FUTZONE Mohamed Salah is gracing as the number one card which is what we previously predicted.
It’s also been confirmed by EA via Twitter that Mohamed Salah WILL be in this week’s team of the week, gracing an incredible 91 overall rating to his arsenal.
This was expected following his amazing performance against Liberia which ended 3-0.
Also that’s expected to release in TOTW 2 is:
- CB Marquinhos – 89 OVRGK Wojciech Szczęsny – 87 OVRCB Manuel Akanji – 84 OVRLW Hirving Lozano – 84 OVRCM Luka Modric – 89 OVRST Kai Havertz – 86 OVRCM Christian Eriksen – 84 CMCDM Seko Fofana – 84 OVRRB Diogo Dalot – 82 OVRST Olivier Giroud – 84 OVRCB Willi Orban – 84 OVRGK Remko Pasveer – 84 OVRLB David Hancko – 81 OVRST Giacomo Raspadori – 82 OVRST Aleksandar Mitrovic – 82 OVRST Eldor Shomurodov – 84 OVRCAM Themba Zwane – 80 OVRLB Nicusor Bancu – 78 OVRCAM Jevani Brown – 75 OVR ST Gerson Rodrigues – 79 OVR
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 predictions
Previously we expected these players to crop up with the new promo that is expected to release this week, basing them primarily off international performance this past week.
This week we are already expecting some amazing special cards. On Friday we have the hotly anticipated Ones to Watch promo too – the first promo of FIFA 23.
The reason why this TOTW looks to be so strong, is because it has fallen during an international break. TOTW teams that fall during an international break often include some of the best players in the world, as they perform to a very high standard for their national teams.
Below we are going to take a look at the players we expect to feature in TOTW 2.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Prediction Virgil Van Dijk
Like we said, this week’s TOTW looks to be pretty special and in the heart of the defence we expect Netherlands and Liverpool defender Van Dijk to feature. Although he has struggled for form so far this season, partly due to Liverpool’s slow start, he was back to his best for his country.
Against Belgium he managed a goal as well as a clean sheet, there isn’t much more you can do as a defender to stand out.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Prediction Diogo Dalot
At right back we think the biggest contender will be Diogo Dalot. This season he has gone from strength to strength as he has become a regular starter for Manchester United.
Dalot took his club form into the international break with him. Against the Czech Republic he got himself a brace and was pivotal in helping Portugal get top spot in their Nations League group.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Prediction Mohamed Salah
Salah grabbed himself two goals in the 3-0 win against Niger, also picking up the MOTM award. This game may have only been a friendly, but he showed what he is made of and like Van Dijk needed to be back at his best after a quiet start to the season.
It looks to be a good week for Liverpool fans with two of their main players both turning up for their nations over the weekend.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Prediction Lionel Messi
Another one of the big boys put in an incredible performance over this international break, and that player is none other than Lionel Messi.
He showed why he is considered the best around against Honduras, and why we think he will feature in this week’s TOTW.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Prediction Olivier Giroud
Giroud got a goal and assist in France’s win against Austria, once again showing why he is so important to the French National Team. He is crucial to the way they play and at the age of 35 he has continued to show why he remains in the squad.
Giroud is also closing in on Thierry Henry’s record as France top scorer, which will only cement his place as one of the greats even if he is criminally underrated.
FIFA 23 TOTW 2 Other Predictions
Alongside the above players, we also expect Hirving Lozana to feature after he got the winner against Peru. He is always a great option in FIFA, so a special early on will be a great boost to players building Serie A squads.
It looks to be a very Premier League heavy defence this week as Manchester City centre back Akanji showed his quality in Switzerland’s 2-1 win against Spain. He got a goal whilst also keeping a clean sheet.
Choosing a player from the Brazil squad isn’t quite as easy but one will definitely feature. We think it will be between PSGs Marquinhos, but Richarlison was outstanding, the only reason we doubt it may be him is because he is part of the OTW promo that releases on Friday.
It isn’t long until we see who will be featuring, but we can’t wait.
Who was in TOTW 1?
