Eight weeks into the regular season, the NFL has been home to so many special performances and that was no different last Sunday. With the conclusion of the game week taking place last night, Madden 23 revealed its latest Week 8 TOTW drop today and there’s plenty to look forward to.
This past game week’s NFL action had quite an interesting twist to it. Of all the incredible showings this game week from a variety of different players, it was the running back position that really stood out the most, with a good handful of halfbacks producing some insane numbers.

Naturally, there’s only a select amount of spots for the Madden 23 TOTW draw, with four of the slots designated for now two Limited Edition players and two Champions.
But who made the list? The Madden 23 Week 8 TOTW was revealed today on ‘Good Morning Madden’ at 10:30AM ET. As per usual, the new TOTW players, challenges, sets and more, will all be released into game around 4PM ET today.
On that note, let’s check out the full list of Madden 23 Week 8 TOTW players.
Offensive Player Of The Week (92 Overall)
The Week 8 MUT Offensive Player Of The Week is New Orleans Saints running back, Alvin Kamara. In the Saints 24-0 shutout win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Kamara rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts and caught nine of ten targets for an additional 96 yards and two touchdowns.
The Saints have been in dire need for an offensive lift and their best offensive talent delivered with a monstrous performance. The shifty and elusive running back certainly earned this spot on the Week 8 TOTW.
Defensive Player Of The Week (92 Overall)
The Madden 23 Week 8 Defensive Player Of The Week is the long-time New England Patriots veteran free safety, Devin McCourty.
The Patriots came off a tough loss to the Chicago Bears last Monday night and were in need of a big bounce back win. Well, they got just that over their rivals in the New York Jets, defeating them 22-17 on Sunday.
A big reason why they were able to do so, was because of their elite defensive play, especially from McCourty. Landing in second on the team in combined tackles for the day (6), McCourty also came away with two big interceptions to help the Patriots secure a close victory and move to 4-4 on the season.
Limited Editions (92 Overall)
Starting last week, Madden 23 will now be featuring two Limited Edition (LTD) players for each TOTW release, one offensive player and one defensive player.
Here’s the LTDs that were selected for the Week 8 TOTW:
1. Marvin Jones Jr. (WR) – Bengals
In the Cincinnati Bengals Week 8 win against the New York Jets in 2013, wide receiver Marvin Jones caught all eight of his targets for 122 yards and four touchdowns. This perfect performance led him to receive the Week 8 offensive player LTD honors.
- Fletcher Cox (DT) – Eagles
In the Philadelphia Eagles Week 8 win over the Buffalo Bills in 2019, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox had himself six combined tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. The Eagles veteran had a big week three years ago and Madden 23 felt he should be featured as their second LTD as a result.
