The day has come for Crytek Studios’ release of Crysis 2 and with it, the launch trailer to remind players that saving New York City will be something of epic proportions.
Game Rant has been hot on the news trail of various Crysis 2 news, including an already discovered Easter Egg and will have a review for Crysis 2 up very soon, as well. Take a look at the newest trailer and try not to get excited about it, we dare you.
For those hungry for more gameplay footage of Crysis 2 in action, Crytek has also released a series of videos depicting the game being played on Xbox 360, PS3, and of course, PC. In addition to the raw gameplay footage, there’s also a bevy of information available regarding the multiplayer side of things, as well. It will be hard to not admit that Crysis 2 is one of the best looking games on consoles and PC that has ever been released and the fact that the game has not been compromised for console release is a feat.
Be Strong. Be Fast. Be Invisible. These are the three mottos that were emphasized in the Crysis 2 trailers leading up to today, brought together in this launch trailer. The video features most of what we’ve seen before, but compiles the best parts to the sound of Kanye West. It’s a trailer (and a game) to rightfully get excited about.
Crysis 2 looks to shake up the overcrowded first person shooter market by offering gamers an extended campaign that weighs in at around 10-12 hours and extensive replay value stemming from the multiple approaches players can take in any given situation. Both of which are features not often seen in many of the first person shooter games representing the competition.
The FPS genre has been traditionally dominated by Call of Duty games for the past few years, but 2011 will be seeing a plethora new offerings, including the likes of Crysis 2, Battlefield 3 and Rage. Crysis 2 is releasing March 22, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
