With Deus Ex: Human Revolution still lacking a release date, Eidos Montreal has been handing out a fairly steady stream of news to keep us all occupied. Just a few weeks ago we were introduced to the protagonist, Adam Jensen. Now we have a set of five new pictures to gaze at while the months drag on before we can finally see if Eidos is going to do this series justice.
Human Revolution is one of our most anticipated games of 2011, and these screens certainly give credence to that evaluation. The graphics are clearly on par with the big titles of this year and the lighting seems to take a page out of Valve’s HDR, introduced in Lost Coast several years ago. We haven’t seen too much gameplay since Human Revolution was announced way back in 2007, but one of the screens does show Jensen with “guns blazing” through a crowded room.
The rest of the screens are typical third-person cutscene fare, and give us some glimpses of Jensen both in and out of action, including some conversations with characters who will likely be relevant when we learn more details about the story.

The most obvious tidbit to glean from these screens is just how beautiful the game is going to be when it releases later this year (if there are no more delays). If the previous incarnations of this series are any indication, Human Revolution could either be one of the most exciting FPS titles of 2011, or another above-average shooter to add to the stack. One thing that we can be sure of: this will be a stunningly gorgeous game to watch.
Do these screens make all of you Ranters even more excited for Human Revolution, or are you ready to just get your hands on the game already?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
