“Gaming is coming home” to Leipzig, Germany, according to a teaser website discovered last night.
The mysterious new site suggests that a new gaming event may be due to take place at the Leipziger Messe, the home of Leipzig Games Convention prior to Gamescom’s arrival in Cologne.
Whether it’s a major games convention like Gamescom, however, remains unclear. Clues on the site hint at some sort of eSports event, with the organisers encouraging users to tweet using the hashtag ‘DontcallitLAN’. The event also appears to be partnered with laptop company Schenker Technologies.
A countdown on the site suggests that more info will be revealed at 1pm BST on Tuesday, June 2. This year’s Gamescom, meanwhile, begins on August 5.
