Bad news fight fans. While the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring will release as planned on October 12th, the Nintendo Wii version will be pushed back until into November.
In a press release, Abraham Bautista, CEA of Slang, the games publisher along with Konami, said:
While Bautista says the title will be pushed back to November, GameStop is a little more optimistic - changing the release date to October 26th.
“The slight delay will help to ensure that the game will provide fans with the best possible experience mixing the sport’s rich tradition and over-the-top action with a fantastic arcade combat style”
In even worse news, Bautista also announced that the highly anticipated (at least hear at Game Rant) pre-order bonus of an official AAA mask has been canceled. After receiving a non-compliant qualification from Consumer Product Safety Comission, Slang has decided to voluntarily replace the masks with a new, as of yet, unknown item.
The most likely reason that this did not pass the CPSC’s qualifications is a fear of small children accidentally suffocating themselves. Hopefully the new bonus will be something amazing - and child friendly.
“Rather than post a warning sign on the official AAA mask, we have decided to cancel the mask pre-order gift with purchase because we could not in good conscious distribute them to consumers due to the potential health risk.”
What would you like to see be the new premium pre-order bonus item be? Let us know in the comments.
