The Xbox One version of first-person space game Adrift has been cancelled, developer Adam Orth has revealed. Speaking on Twitter, Orth told one fan that they should “get a refund immediately” after pre-ordering the game on Xbox One, confirming that it is “not releasing on Xbox One”. He later told New Game Network that he hopes fans “are able to find some way to experience and enjoy it on our other platforms....
Cold Iron Studios has announced that co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be heading to Xbox Game Pass on December 14. The move coincides with the news that the game’s second season of free content arrives on the same day. Season 2 is named Point Defense after the update’s brand new game mode. Players must defend three strategic points on the map from waves of the Xenomorph threat. Marines will earn Fabrication Points between waves to spend on consumables to help them survive the next one....

IO Interactive recently confirmed rumors and speculation surrounding the future of the Hitman franchise, officially announcing Hitman: Absolution. Way back at last year’s E3, Valve’s infamous Gabe Newell walked on stage at Sony’s press event and announced that Portal 2 would be coming to PS3 and that it would be the best version on consoles. Fallout: New Vegas is the greatest game of all-time. It’s already been scientifically proven, so you can’t argue with it. Full of great storytelling, player choice, interesting characters, and great locations to explore, there are plenty of things to see and do. I’ve probably spent over 1,000 hours playing New Vegas since it came out, and I don’t regret a single second of it. It’s also a great antidote if you’ve been struck by the horrors of Fallout 76, and, like me, you feel Bethesda ruined the Fallout franchise even before that broken disaster of a game....

Embracer Group has snapped up the developer of the Metro series, 4A Games, in its latest round of acquisitions. 4A Games and Deep Silver (owned by Embracer Group) have a historic partnership, with the latter publishing Metro Last Light, Metro Redux, Metro Exodus, and its two DLCs. The new arrangement will see the developer working under Saber Interactive, in order to “[strengthen] Saber Interactive’s development capabilities in Ukraine.” The companies also announced a new AAA game coming from both parties, and it “combines the AAA production values of 4A Games’ combined engine and technology know-how, and Saber Interactive’s experience on multiplayer and live operations....
