Nintendo has announced plans to discontinue the Basic 8GB Wii U console in Japan. The SKU will be replaced by a new 32GB white Wii U due to arrive next month, joining the black 32GB model that’s been available since launch. The 8GB console will still be available in other parts of the world, however, a Nintendo UK representative suggests, telling VideoGamer.com that the announcement is “only applicable for the Japanese market”....

Indie developer ILLOGIKA has announced the release date for their action puzzler Subaeria. Subaeria follows Styx, a young girl who’s out for revenge after her family is murdered by the overlord of Subaeria. In the game, she has to fight her way through murderous robots and pit them against each other. Featuring puzzle and rogue-like mechanics, the levels become increasingly difficult and players will have to think quick and utilise the environment to succeed while using their drone to defeat enemies....

The Call of Duty League is now 12 teams strong, and that should be enough to kick off a season. Activision Blizzard announced Friday that three new companies bought into the league. They companies who made the purchase are ReKTGlobal, NRG Esports, and a partnership of Aquilini Group and Enthusiast Gaming. They will establish teams in London, Chicago, and Seattle, respectively. The announcement means that the Call of Duty League now has 12 teams, which could be enough to fill season....

PlayStation has formally announced its ‘all-new’ three-tiered PlayStation Plus offering, and it’ll be launching this June. One of the biggest changes that Call of Duty made to their hit battle royale mode Warzone 2, is that of the Gulag and the way the get-out-of-jail-free system works. The biggest new aspect of the Warzone 2 gulag, is the fact that you can pair up with another operator to combat in a 2v2 matchup, whereas previously in Verdansk and Caldera, it was only a 1v1 matchup.
