Growing up, I didn’t really have much money, and to be honest, not much has really changed into my early 20s. It seems like most video games have terrible endings. Either the story itself is no good and nobody cares or, for whatever reason, the developers couldn’t think of a fitting way to end the story. Most of the time that’s because they’ve got their eye on a sequel and so many games end with a cliffhanger that all too often goes unresolved. Then there are games like LA Noire – a game about investigating crimes, interrogating suspects, and catching the murderer – where the developers simply couldn’t think of an exciting ending so they stuck you in a sewer with a flamethrower against a bunch of bad guys....

The NBA 2K game is arguably the biggest sports game to come out every year. I would argue that the NFL is bigger in the US, but 2K has been making these games at such a high level for so long that these just took over. A group of around 40 Ubisoft staff downed tools to strike last Friday, following calls by unions for workers to take action. A television series based on the vehicular combat series Twisted Metal is apparently on the way from PlayStation Productions. According to Variety, the project is moving forward with the production company and Sony Pictures Television with an original script penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Warnick who were both responsible for the two Deadpool movies and Zombieland. Based on the series that first started on the original PlayStation back in 1995, the synopsis of the TV show is described as following an outsider who’s offered the chanced of a better life as long as he delivers a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland while accompanied by a “trigger happy car thief....

The past few years have seen some startling revelations come out of big gaming companies, centered around toxic workplace culture and other major issues that have no place in the office. The likes of Riot Games and Activision Blizzard are prominent examples, and there has been a settlement reached in regards to the latter and the sexual harassment lawsuit that was brought against the company. As reported by Kotaku, U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer has approved an $18 million relief settlement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)....

Activision has launched a fresh legal front in its ongoing battle against the State of California, which has been suing the Call of Duty publisher over reports of workplace misconduct and sexual harassment since the summer of 2021.
