Blizzard Entertainment’s long-running Warcraft franchise will be making its way to mobile later this year, according to a newly released quarterly earnings report from Activision. As things currently stand, there’s not a lot of information to go on, with Activision only saying Blizzard is “planning substantial new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022” that will see it deliver “all-new mobile Warcraft content into players’ hands for the first time”. The project is highlighted separately from World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, both of which will also be getting “new experiences” this year, according to Activision....

SNES-inspired RPGs certainly aren’t rare by any stretch of the imagination, but every so often, a particularly pretty one comes our way and looks like it might actually be worth investing in. Enter Airoheart, a 16-bit RPG developed by the Australia-based Pixel Heart Studio. Airoheart reached its funding goal about a year ago, and is slowly inching towards its final release date with Soedesco helping with publishing. Pixel Heart promises plenty of themed dungeons and a large, handcrafted open-world for players to explore....

Capcom has unveiled a bunch of new info for Resident Evil Resistance, the multiplayer-focused mode coming with Resident Evil 3. The biggest announcement has to be the inclusion of Alex Wesker and Ozwell Spencer as playable masterminds. Masterminds are the role one player will assume when starting a match and they’ll be able to spawn zombies, create distractions, lock doors, and cause all kinds of havoc. To my knowledge, the only time Ozwell has been seen in a game is Resident Evil 5....

British publisher Pqube announced today that it will localize Mages’ 3D arena battle game Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix for the western markets. The game, which is originally developed by Mages and was released in Japan last month, will launch in North America and Europe for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in 2023. The game is set based on Alice Gear Aegis, a popular mobile game released in Japan in 2017 with a PC version launched in 2019....
