The WWE 2K series has always managed to strike a balance between a wrestling/sports simulation and an arcade fighting game. Ever since the first WWE Smackdown title was released 20 years it has always been the kind of game that almost any player can pick up and get to grips with at ease. As the series progressed over the years it maintained its arcade-like gaming mechanics but over time the series started adding more and more elements to make it feel more like a wrestling sim....

Man Of Medan tells the tale of a group of young adults who end up stranded on a ghost ship, along with violent pirates. With numerous different endings available and your choices affecting the different events that take place during the game, there’s tons of replay value to Man Of Medan. Not to mention, you have about 50 collectibles in total to find to complete the game and get the achievement, some of which are only available after you make specific choices....

Ah, Disney Channel. Whether you love it or hate it, this channel brought a lot of shows and cartoons to us growing up and even now. If you love the classic cartoons in the early days of Disney Channel, or if you enjoy the new ones that have come out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. One of my favorite Disney Channel cartoons would have to be Kim Possible. I loved the action of the series and the humor always made me laugh....

Kingdom Hearts! Oh my gosh and golly gee it’s finally here! I feel like this is a bookend to my High School life, thirteen years after it should have ended. To give you some context into what I’m talking about, the original game launched in 2002 for the PS2. It was a weird mishmash of Final Fantasy, Disney, and original characters all joining into one epic RPG. I honestly thought it looked incredibly strange in the previews, but oh baby was it amazing....

The idea of choosing the best Final Fantasy game in the franchise out of the sheer number of the titles present in the franchise is a tall order. After all, there are simply too many excellent games in this series for a person to make an absolute decision, with most preferring to either list out numerous titles or not mention anything outright. However, it must be said that Final Fantasy X is one of the best names one can take in this regard....

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have been out for almost a week now and players are slowly beginning to complete it. Despite its bugs and glitches, the overwhelming majority of the fan base agree Scarlet & Violet has a fantastic story for all to enjoy. Toy customization is a huge deal these days, and there have been some amazing designs over the expanse of dolls, action figures and of course, Amiibos. They’re the little figurines you put on your Nintendo gaming consoles to unlock downloadable content, such as using that particular figure in your Nintendo game. It’s a really neat idea and I might have gotten more into it if I had a console and the extra dough to pay for all of the Amiibos....

If this week’s two previously announced Epic Games Store freebies somehow aren’t enough to be getting on with, Epic has also, rather unexpectedly, thrown in a third offering - taking the form of developer 34BigThings’ blisteringly fast, wonderfully stylish anti-grav racer Redout. Redout initially launched all the way back in 2016, immediately dazzling with its gorgeous, high-speed racing, and did well enough that it was followed up by no less than five expansions, introducing a host of new courses to sate those smitten with its core action....

Activision and Bethesda have withdrawn their games from GeForce Now, the streaming service set up by tech company Nvidia (via MCV/Develop). Activision’s library was the first to go, because of a “misunderstanding” between the two partners. The Call of Duty publisher intended to sign a commercial agreement with Nvidia before it would submit its games to the official launch of GeForce Now. But, Nvidia believed Activision to be on board with the streaming service due to its participation in the beta test....

Age of Empires II may have originally released in 1999, but that hasn’t stopped fans from playing it. Re-released as Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition last November, the game has received continued support and remains a cult classic enjoyed by real-time strategy fans everywhere. To celebrate this re-release’s one-year anniversary, the Age of Empires team has updated the game with a host of new features and game modes. Of course, that also means a battle royale mode has been added to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, since the genre’s craze isn’t over just yet....

First announced in 2014, the game saw a few developer changes and a long period of silence, leading to concerns that it would become vaporware. Finally, Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios are ready to release this game early next year....

BioShock made a big splash when it came onto the scene in 2007; it’s hard to find anyone to deny that. Now with a new game set to take the stage, developer Irrational Games is looking to make sure that BioShock: Infinite turns as many heads as the original. Thankfully, Ken Levine is guaranteeing that fans of the series won’t be disappointed, and dishing out back-story to prove it. The lead designer for the upcoming BioShock: Infinite has come out with a few video featurettes detailing some of the more intricate aspects of the floating world of Colombia, including the factions that are at war with each other and the more impressive (and frightening) Skyline system....

The Call of Duty franchise has seen its fair share of success, setting records with not just one, but two launches in the last two years. First, Modern Warfare 2 blew people away with its records setting launch numbers, pushing 4.6 million units on the first day alone, and bringing in $550 million over the first five days. Next, Black Ops shattered those numbers by moving 5.6 million units in its first 24 hours, and raking in a staggering $650 million in its first 5 days....

So far, 9 of 135 possible Bulletstorm skill shots have been revealed. Now the folks at People Can Fly and Epic have brought out yet another skillisode for your maniacal viewing pleasure, featuring three more ways to dispatch enemies on an alien world. Even better, two more weapons have been revealed to help Grayson Hunt kill in twisted and comical ways. Two new weapons have been revealed in this latest Skillisode, namely the Penetrator Drill Gun and the Headhunter Sniper Rifle....

Apparently, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is already underway, the news coming via Spanish radio, from Oscar Araujo, the composer of the game’s soundtrack. According to Araujo, Konami asked for a rough and aggressive score to contrast with the old, effeminate image often found in the Castlevania series. Currently, Konami has offered no comment on the alleged sequel. Lords of Shadow itself was just released on October 5, so I am not surprised Konami does not want to talk about a sequel just yet, even if Lords of Shadow is receiving generally positive reviews....

What’s so great about the Great White North? Well, other than the fact that it’s large, there’s a lot of snow, and it’s located in the Northern hemisphere of the globe, it will finally be getting the Gears of War Triple Pack next month. That’s right, all of my fellow Canucks will finally be able to pickup both of the original Gears of War games, as well as the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection that offers all of the DLC for the second game....
