2K has revealed what’s coming in its “innovative”," “franchise-first” new MyFaction Mode. “MyFaction is a new take on a classic team-building mode in which players collect, manage, and upgrade an array of WWE Superstars and Legends to create their ultimate four-person factions,” 2K explains via a press release. “Managers and Side Plates boost performance, while Logos, Wallpapers, and Nameplates allow for creative customisation.” 2K is also keen for you to know that “anything that players can unlock with Virtual Currency can also be unlocked with MyFaction Points”, and as it’s an “online single-player only experience […] players cannot gain a competitive advantage over other players by purchasing virtual currency” - or, in simpler terms, you can’t pay to win....

For all its good qualities, there was one area where the Sonic The Hedgehog movie was sorely lacking: Sonic characters. While Sonic and Robotnik were featured heavily – as well as a character whose name rhymes with “Pails” – there weren’t many appearances from other members of the extended Sonic universe. Bethesda came out of the gate swinging with their first contribution to the Fallout franchise. Fallout 3 injected some Elder Scrolls into the classic post-apocalyptic franchise to universal acclaim. Fans waited seven years for the company’s next effort with the franchise. Fallout 4 strayed even further from Interplay’s games, a change, of course, that garnered a polarizing reception. Some were able to appreciate what it was, while others mourned how little it felt like classic Fallout....

The third and final season of His Dark Materials premieres on HBO and HBO Max on Dec. 5, 2022, two years after the season 2 finale. Season 3 adapts The Amber Spyglass, the third book in Phillip Pullman’s trilogy. After the second season finale, many questions arose and piled together with previous ones that were still not addressed. As this is the series’ last season, there’s an expectation that they will be answered....

Burst Assault Rifle, one of the controversial weapons in Fortnite history, has returned to the island with the 23.10 hotfix update. It is a fully automatic, medium-ranged weapon that debuted with Fortnite’s pre-season update. The weapon was vaulted in one of the Fortnite Chapter 3 updates due to players preferring other assault rifles over the Burst Assault Rifle in the matches. Hence, the usage of the Burst Assault Rifle was relatively rare, and the developers decided to kick it out of the loot pool....

A new Ghostbusters game is reportedly in the works, potentially to tie into recent cinema release, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. That’s according to Winston Zeddemore actor Ernie Hudson, who was speaking at the San Antonio Fan Fest earlier this week. The panel was captured on video by the Countdown Geeks YouTube channel, as spotted by Nintendo Life. Hudson was speaking on his contribution to the 2009 Ghostbusters: The Video Game and asked if he’d be willing to star in another one....

Creative Assembly and Sega have announced they’ll be expanding PC strategy sim A Total War Saga: Troy with a Mythos expansion this September. The Mythos DLC is said to be the largest expansion yet for the game, and will introduce its own campaign mode. As the title implies, the new content will add mythical monsters to the usually-historically-focused game, quests to capture them and new divine powers. New units will include the Lernean Hydra with the abilities of regeneration and poison....

If you are a fan of Call of Duty, you will know that the modern games in the franchise are also big fans — of your storage device. When the PC specifications for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War were released, players were informed that 175 GB was the minimum storage needed at launch for all game modes.
