Today Gamesradar hosted its traditional Future Games Show, providing new looks and reveals about plenty of upcoming games. Below you can check out all the news and trailer showcased at the June 2022 edition of Future Games Show. Outpost Team Ranger and lighting games showcased Outpost, an upcoming game in which you build bases and use all sorts of weapons to tackle crazy alien hordes. It’s coming for PC in the future, with a beta in the pipeline....

I remember the first time I played Devil May Cry. It was early 2002 and I did not know what to expect (Smackdown 2 and Tekken 3, along with other less notable titles, were the only other games I had played). From beginning to end, my mind was blown and I would end each mission wondering how they could ever top the last boss I had just fought or scale of the level I had witnessed....

Twin-stick shooters and zombies are all the rage these days. Housemarque, creators of Super Stardust HD, are hoping to make a mark once again by combining them both in their latest PSN title, Dead Nation. In this game players take on the role of a survivor after a virus has ravaged the world by turning everyone into the walking dead. Why does this sound so familiar? Players choose from two characters: Jack McReady and Scarlett Black....

A new trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been released by Square Enix and it features a great look at some of the characters who will be playable in the game and also hints to what the overall story could be about. In an interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura gave some interesting details about Final Fantasy Versus XIII. This new Final Fantasy title has been in heavy anticipation, even more so now after a new trailer was released for the game....

 It seems like nowadays if you plan to be an exclusive Xbox developer then you have to, at some point, consider Kinect implementation. While some developers have been able to avoid it, as the tech continues to grow and improve those naysayers begin to see the benefits of motion control. One such developer who may in the future be leaning towards Kinect is Cliff Bleszinski, the man behind the Gears of War franchise....

A new vignette for the upcoming Mortal Kombat focusing on fan favorite Sub-Zero has been released. The video provides background on the character and dives into the hatred he has for Scorpion. It also shows some nice artwork and what appears to be in-game fighting. A vignette focusing on Scorpion himself dealing out the hurt was released earlier this month. It seems like nowadays if a publisher wants to get buzz going for one game they do so by tying in content from another. Such is the case with Killzone 3, as anyone who purchases the game in the US will have access to the SOCOM 4 beta. Also announced was the fact that any PlayStation Plus member in the UK will have beta access granted with nothing more than their Plus membership....

It looks like a big budget game adaptation of the John Wick movie franchise is on the way. As spotted by Indiewire, Lionsgate’s CEO recently addressed investors and confirmed that the team was “fielding proposals” about a “AAA” John Wick game to expand the multimillion dollar series beyond Hollywood movies. Although no concrete details were shared, Jon Feltheimer said that Lionsgate “believe there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick” but didn’t “want to say anything more” right now....

When Activision-Blizzard goes big, they go real big. The third World of Warcraft expansion, titled Cataclysm, is no exception. On midnight of December 7th, Blizzard released their expansion for their immensely popular MMORPG simultaneously in eleven different countries. Ten thousand stores opened up their doors for midnight releases, with fans impatiently waiting to jump into the newest page of Azeroth’s story. About 15,000 fans attended Blizzard launch events, which were hosted at retailers and partners in over ten countries!...

Google Stadia, now two months old, is being prepped for a big year ahead. Google’s cloud gaming service expects to bring 120 new games to the platform in 2020, as well as wireless gaming with the Stadia controller and 4K support, which was one of critics’ bigger concerns upon Stadia’s initial release in November. Although Stadia isn’t quite where Google wants it to be by 2020’s end, fans have to admit that the mere 26 games on the platform right now are some of the best on the market, with franchises like Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider in the mix....

There are a lot of video games out there. And along with all those games that come out, there are a ton that get cancelled, or simply disappear from their development cycles with no further news to be had. But, video games aren’t the only thing that get cancelled in the gaming world. Although there are basically just a few major console companies these days and we don’t hear a lot about other consoles being announced or cancelled, that wasn’t always the case....

Pokémon Go was released years ago and it was much anticipated. When Niantic announced that they were developing an open-world, real life, free mobile game based on Pokémon, every person in the world went nuts for it. What’s even better is it lived up to the hype. Although it was definitely more talked about in the first few months of its release, it still has a huge user base today (myself included)....

For several months to come, gamers will be eating up all the content Borderlands 3 has to offer. The most recent entry in the zany looter shooter franchise sticks close to the chest, but fans are more than satisfied with the formula’s return. While there is nothing quite like the cel-shaded (but not really cel-shaded) coop adventure, plenty of other games in the market scratch a similar itch. Any of the ten games below are likely to appeal to Borderlands fans in one way or another....

Mortal Kombat is known for having really enjoyable gameplay, even if it doesn’t always have the most interestingly done characters. While there are some real classics on MK’s roster, there are also some characters, especially from more recent games that have almost absolutely flopped and not really even made a reasonable mark on fighting game history, let alone the history of gaming as a whole. While characters like Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Raiden, and Shao Kahn will forever live in the hearts of Mortal Kombat fans everywhere, those that are about to comprise this list won’t be so lucky....

Ah, the Dreamcast…it was the swan song for Sega’s foray into the console market. It was a criminally underrated machine that simply got crushed by the crowded gaming market and prominent competition of Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony’s line of consoles of the early 2000s. One of the most tragic aspects of the Dreamcast falling off the map so fast is that many of its franchises followed suit; a number of which proved underrated and enjoyable in their own right....

10 Northgard Available on Steam, Northgard is a strategy game based on Norse mythology. You control a clan of vikings who are trying to colonize a mysterious new continent. It has board game elements as well as real-time strategy type of mechanics. There are also different clans to play for different play-styles. The game was released in 2018 and got a lot of very positive reviews. 9 Expeditions: Viking In this game, you play as the newly appointed chieftain of a viking clan....

Naruto has been a powerhouse of a franchise both abroad and in the US. Between the manga, the anime, video games, and merchandise most people have at least heard of it at some point in time. The number of video games produced for fans of the series is staggering and there are dozens of games that have never made it to the US from Japan. That being said there are some great games that did see releases in North America and did very well on various consoles....

Video games are a high-risk proposition, so when a studio gets a big hit, it’s hard to resist the temptation to milk it for all that it’s worth. Sometimes this comes in the form of endless sequels iterating over and over again on the same concept, which is how we get seemingly deathless, repetitive franchises like Call of Duty offering the same game with a new coat of paint on a yearly basis....
