14-year-old Danik Soudakoff is looking to make competitive video gaming more accessible for deaf and hard of hearing players. In the recent stage two playoffs of the Overwatch League, Soudakoff was in attendance at the Burbank arena, and he is deaf. While attending these games, an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter keeps him up to date on the comments made by the announcers. Soudakoff has recently been working towards the creation of new signs meant to assist communication among other ASL users who enjoy Overwatch....

Nintendo has announced that there will be another Nintendo Direct this week, focussing mainly on third-party games. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, June 28th, at 14:00. Nintendo tweeted the announcement: “A new Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase is on the way. Watch on-demand via our YouTube channel beginning Tuesday, June 28 at 6am PT for roughly 25 minutes of info on upcoming third-party Nintendo Switch games.” Just last week, there was a Nintendo Direct dedicated wholly to the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3....

It looks like we could be seeing the return of Ryu Hayabusa in the near future, as a Hong Kong ratings board has seemingly outed the existence of a potential Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch next year. Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops smashed the record-breaking sales of last year’s Modern Warfare 2, and Activision believes its three studio approach to the Call of Duty franchise will enable continued success in the future. “The Treyarch studio, which made this year’s game, has done better than what the Infinity Ward studio could achieve a year ago,” Vivendi chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Lévy said. “We have reconstructed Infinity Ward. Developer Okomotive’s FAR: Lone Sails will have players rolling across a dried-out seabed challenged with overcoming all kinds of obstacles and battling against the elements. Players will have to keep the land ship moving by upgrading the vessel and following a trail left by the people to discover the story of a civilization on the run. Netflix announced today it will be partnering with The Coalition, current developer of the Gears of War franchise, to bring the third-person cover shooter to the streaming service with multiple projects. The Microsoft-owned franchise will be adapted into a live action feature film for Netflix, according to the announcement, with an adult animation series coming after. The company also said there would be “potential for more stories to follow,” though no directors or production studios have been attached to any of these projects....

It’s become almost an annual rite of passage to root against Tom Brady.
