Duke Nukem Forever’s epicly long development cycle is going to get yet another extension according to a brand new announcement video released by Gearbox Software and 2K Games this morning. During our hands-on with Duke Nukem Forever at PAX East, we got to play a couple of the levels in this next installment in the Duke Nukem franchise and praised it for maintaining its over-the-top status in spite of the recent launch of also over-the-top shooter, Bulletstorm....

We are already onto our third promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team that is celebrating the World Cup. The first two were both incredible and added a lot of extra must have players to the game. Modern Warfare 2’s season 1 Battle Pass content has started to go live regionally from now. While the official start time isn’t until 6pm, the Battle Pass tab is alreadyavailable for many people. Following the game’s first couple of weeks, many players are now finishing up unlocking the launch content, and are already eager to get started on post-launch content like Season 1. As has become the norm, this will take the form of various ‘seasons’ of content, with new cosmetics, ranks and more for players to earn by playing the game....

There was a time when fans of the Yakuza series would be unsure but hopeful that they would continue to see more entries released in the west. Thanks to the high demand from dedicated fans and the success of Yakuza 0 Sega have lovingly translated and released all the mainline entries on the PS4. Yakuza 0 is arguably the best game in the series and serves as both a great starting point for fans of the series and a way to provide more depth and layers in the Kiryu Kazama saga....

Video games require a certain suspension of disbelief. Square Enix has three big RPG giants under its belt that it continues to support year after year. Those three would be Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts. Since those last two have more ties together as Dragon Quest is kind of its own thing, we wanted to pit the two against each other. This is not to determine the definitive Japanese RPG franchise. We just thought it would be a fun exercise to really stop and think about what each series brings to the table....

The Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem game that we received on the Wii U in 2015 is vastly different than what the initial trailer had us hoping, but we still got a great JRPG experience with Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. While it would stand far better as its own independent IP, as it only brings a few small qualities from Atlus’s and Intelligent Systems’s most revered series to barely make it a crossover, there’s enough similarities to pick out the best and worst aspects between #FE and Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Fire Emblem....

A Japanese series, it only makes sense most of Dragon Ball’s video games would come from Japan. At the same time, Dragon Ball’s appeal is universal. Whether you’re in Japan, the United States, Europe, or Latin America, Dragon Ball is a franchise that anyone from any culture can find something to appreciate about. It’s also a franchise with a good chunk of games not made in Japan. Not a lot, mind you, and most were rather predictably developed in the United States, but it’s interesting to note which Dragon Ball games didn’t actually come from Japan....
