Bug and Ice-type Pokémon have been among the least favorite in the fanbase throughout the generations of games. Going into Generation VIII with Pokémon Sword & Shield doesn’t seem to be changing this perception all that much. While many fans agree these are the worst types of Pokémon to have there doesn’t seem to be a clear consensus as to which is the worst type. Driving simulator Gran Turismo is the next series to get the movie treatment from PlayStation Productions. That’s according to Deadline, who report that the project is on the way with support from the Sony Pictures division. The co-production studio behind Spy x Family, CloverWorks, has showcased the new trailer for their upcoming anime, UniteUp! The show will follow the character Akira Kiyose, who enrolls in a K-Pop-like talent agency known as “sMiLea Production” to follow his dreams of becoming an idol. After listening to Akira’s singing performance on a video streaming site, sMiLea takes notice of him, resulting in their decision to scout the character to form the latest idol group, Protostar....

The latest update in Activision and Infinity Ward’s legal battle (previous posts are here and here) is Activision’s search for internal documents pertaining to Infinity Ward’s alleged “insubordination” and “breach of contract”. TNT is about to become elite. All Elite Wrestling, the new wrestling promotion started by Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and Tony Khan, announced in May that they have come to terms with WarnerMedia to air a weekly wrestling show in prime time on TNT beginning later this year. Alex Kidd in Miracle World, the 1986 platform game originally from SEGA, is set to get a remake for consoles and PC next year from UK publisher Merge Games in the form of Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX. As part of a GDC speech, Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka revealed that Angry Birds, the ever-evolving portable game, would be receiving an update to coincide with St. Patrick’s Day. Next year’s Call of Duty game, set for release in the back half of 2011, has been described by Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg as a “new, large-scale … first-person action title.” Hirshberg added: “The creative talent and resources that we now have devoted to the Call of Duty brand are unprecedented and given the gameplay we’ve seen to date, we could not be more excited about next year’s release.” For the time being, though, all sights are set on Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which launches worldwide on November 9....
