ilomilo is a puzzle game developed jointly by Microsoft Game Studios and SouthEnd Interactive, who previously brought the well-received remake of Lode Runner to XBLA. The goal of ilomilo is to reunite ilo and milo, old friends who have a knack for getting separated from each other. This is accomplished by strategically navigating both ilo and milo through bizarre cube worlds until they are brought back together. It’s an interesting set up, and the game sports a singular visual style, but is ilomilo any fun?...

So we’ve already talked about the fantastic single player of Splinter Cell: Conviction and while that is a great experience (albeit a little short) the co-op is even more awesome. Sam Fisher is bad ass, we know that, and yes even more bad ass then both Archer and Kestrel our duo of co-op super spies put together. Every protagonist needs some kind of antagonist for the gamer to work against when they step into the shoes of their hero in their favorite videogames. The same idea applies to all entertainment mediums that try to tell a story. It works particularly well in gaming because the player emotionally and physically invests in the game’s characters and storylines even when it’s told in the most simplistic way.
