Whether they want to admit it or not, Sony and Microsoft definitely watch and react to each others moves. If they get an exclusive in a certain genre, or series that may prompt them to one up the other....

A modder has added VR and motion controls to Trombone Champ. Their latest mod is Trombone Champ, the surprise Steam hit of last week. Raicuparta shared a video of himself attempting Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony in VR. The display inside the headset shows a first-person view of the titular Trombone Champ and the gameplay screen is projected in front of you. The game is played with motion controls, meaning you have to extend and retract your arm instead of moving a mouse back and forth for the correct notes....
The Nier series might soon be receiving a new addition or a remake, as Square Enix has filed a trademark for Nier in Japan. This could tie into the recent 10th-anniversary website that Square Enix has launched for the series and could result in a new announcement next year. The Nier series is best-known for Nier: Automata in 2017, but it originated back in 2010 with Nier, which was released as two separate games in Japan....
Animal Crossing New Horizons is finally getting a major Version 2.0 Update update in November 2021 and this time, it’s really major! Nintendo has announced a delay for upcoming remaster project Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which will now launch next year. The company first broke news of the delay on the Nintendo of America Twitter account. It said simply that “The game just needs a little more time for fine tuning. You’ll be battling with Andy and friends soon! Thanks for your patience.” The package was announced back during Nintendo’s E3 2021 broadcast and was originally set for release this December....

Age of Empires is back in 2019 in a big way. Not only did Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition launch on PC today, but Xbox revealed the debut gameplay for Age of Empires 4 during the opening ceremony of X019.
