“The Banshees of Inisherin”, the brand new movie from director, Martin McDonagh, that reunites his “In Bruges” stars and frequent collaborators, Brendan Gleeson, and Colin Farrell, debuted yesterday at the prestigious 79th Venice International Film Festival to rapturous applause from its audience, resulting in the movie, along with its director and stars, receiving an unprecedented 13 minute standing ovation.Such was the positive reception of the movie at its Venice screening that, as reported here by Variety, “the film’s big moment started to bleed into the red carpet debut of Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller “Don’t Worry Darling”.
