Level-5 will once again be teaming up with Sony Computer Entertainment to release a new entry in their White Knight Chronicles franchise, only it will be going portable now. White Knight Chronicles Episode Portable: Dogma Wars is going to be released on the PSP, which will be sure to please long-time fans of the series.
The setting for White Knight Chronicles Episode Portable: Dogma Wars is going to take players back 10,000 years in the past. This means that players can experience the events that took place before the first White Knight Chronicles game as well as its sequel, White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness.
The main character in the game will be one that players will create and will possess the ability to use Ren Force to transform in order to take on the enemies of the game, which are the Knights from the previous White Knight Chronicles games. Online play will be a feature in Dogma Wars, and players will be able to use Infrastructure Mode with up to four other players to team up and venture on quests.
Players who played White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness on the PS3 and have a save file from that game will be able to import their save data into Dogma Wars, which allows players to unlock special items from the PS3 game.
Currently, there is no word on whether or not Dogma Wars will be released in other regions, but since White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness never made it out of Japan, the chances of it hitting the States are not looking good. Fans of the White Knight Chronicles series will of course have the option to import Dogma Wars if necessary, since the PSP is region-free when it comes to playing games.
Feeling the excitement after hearing details on the new White Knight Chronicles game? Could it be possible that the thought of having to import the game if it is not released outside of Japan be slightly deterring you from purchasing it? Let us know with your thoughts and comments below!
